I've been pretty happy with my solder tube mod, but, for some reason couldn't get over the itch that it could only hold a 17650, so with a 3 pack of cheap flashlights decided to make a 18650 tube.
Already finding using a button again frustrating, but I wanted to make a basic one first to be sure I liked it, will add a touch circuit next and use the nice red colored tube (pack had a silver, blue and red 3xAA light).
Just knocked out the spring and clicky from the bottom, flipped the plastic housing for the clicky and used that for the atty connection mount and the extra room allows for a 18650 rather than a 18500.

I also grabbed a 26650 light, coz no doubt the itch will strike again.
