I think its probably just short form (for small labels) for Ruyan 4. I just pronounce the letters and the numbers.. R Y 4.

Ruyan means "almost like smoke" in Chinese, also the name of the company that had an employee that invented the electronic cigarette, Hon Lik. He worked for Golden Dragon Holdings and they changed the name to Ruyan to match the product being sold.
