It's also a thing of just letting your body get used to it. I can take a huge pull on mine now, but my brother gave it a shot and tried to be a big wheel and take a large pull, and he hacked (after I told him not too-LOL!). It is different than inhaling smoke, but you will get used to it if you keep at it. And of course, if you aren't smoking analogs any more, your body is cleaning itself. I never cough or hack any more, I don't wake up with congestion. Even my spring allergies are easier to deal with this year. And I've gone from sleeping 4-6 hrs a night to a solid 7-8hrs. It all gets better and better. ;)

First post here. I started vaping several months ago, and came here to learn about how to get the best performance out of the smallest package.

To answer your question, I still cough some, after 25 years of smoking, but less than I did. Part of it is probably leftover since I smoked more on than off from age 15 to 41, and was burning a pack and a half a day when I switched a couple months ago. The other part is that I vape more than I used to smoke, both because I can vape anywhere and because I've been ratcheting down the nicotine strength. Right now I'm trying my second bottle of zero nic. juice and vaping like a smokestack. I figure I'll slow down and maybe eventually give it up. In the mean time, I'm enjoying it despite the occasional cough.

Since I quit smoking analogs have enjoyed vaping but have had unexpected episodes of coughing and wheezing when I use my ecig. These episodes are not all the time nor at predictable times. is this normal

Quitting Smoking can have all kinds of Seemingly Random Side Effects.

But if these Coughing Bouts continue after you are 21 Days Smoke Free, I would consider Lowering the PG in the PG to VG ratio of your e-Liquids.

BTW; my last coughing/hacking event was last night. I had just changed out a ProTank to a EVOD and forgot to check my eVic. ProTank was 2.5 ohms EVOD was 1.8. Watts was set to 7. The ProTank draws airy while the EVOD has a more restrictive draw. SO I took a big ProTank Like hit and sucked it in way too fast.

The result was a MASSIVE throat/lung hit. After I was done scaring my dogs and my wife and could talk again I said.

Boy that was really stupid.

:D

The transition from smoking cigarettes to vaping eliquid requires a different way to INHALE......its a bit tricky at first to learn the best way to do this vaping, smoking for so long had us conditioned to take very hard short inhales.

Once you learn to vape "correctly" its a matter of finding out which PG/VG ratio works best for you and what MG strength.

Once u hit that sweet spot your "cup runneth over."
