Single coil Derringer builds?

I like single coil builds and find them best suited for my vamping style. For the Derringer, how are you all building and wicking your single coil builds?

For flavor, I'd recommend a clapton coil on a regulated mod. I had a 26 gauge core, 34 outer clapton, 3 mm id at 1.9 ohms. Definitely chucked flavor. Wicking was a bit tighter than normal, excess lightly pushed onto the deck filling up the excess space of the well. Honestly though.... dual coils have worked better for me for flavor.
