Single coil or dual coils?

My local B&M has some Pro tank 2's(Carolina Flavor is brand name on box) for like $11. I was thinking about getting 1 or 2 to try (you know, to have a tank for one set of flavors( i.e. fruit and fruit mixes). Anyways, I love the Vivi Nova BDC, the Aspire nautilus Mini BVC, and the iClear 30? (I think that's what it is) that came with my MVP2. They are all dual coil I believe. Is going back to one coil ok? is it worth it, or would I be disappointed in the vape/flavor production?
Thanks for any comments.

Nah, nothing wrong with the vapor or flavor of single coils. I have a mix of single and dual coil Kanger clearos, as well as an iClear 30, and the extra flavor and vapor that comes with dual coils is minimal, especially considering how much faster they go through juice, as well as battery life. I say give it a shot. I doubt you will be disappointed.

Also, I checked out the Carolina Brand. Seems like it is a Kanger that has been rebranded.

Give it a try. But don't get two--you have plenty of clearomizers for now! :)

I also use both single and dual coils, my favorite is kanger Aerotank--but it's another dual coil. Try the ProTank--you may want to get an air flow control base to use with it. PT2 has no air flow control, and some people feel that the vape is too airy.

Kanger Air Flow control Valve Base Replacements

I have the first two bases (from the left) and they both work fine.

Good luck!

In my experience, albeit short (quit smoking 9/17), a single coil can sometimes function better than a dual coil configuration. Your nautilus for example is a single coil configuration; I too own one of those and love it. It definitely out performs my dual coil tanks (iclears, smok t-dux).

Also, I've used a ProTank at my local shop and honestly felt that it wasn't as great as my BVC Nautilus. Give it a try if you can.

Best of luck.

Edit: Just noticed your from Danville. I grew up there.

Newb here as well. I would think dual coils are better but wouldn't I go through a lot more juice?

I believe that if the resistance (in ohms) were about the same for said single coil and dual coil, they would use about the same amount of juice. I'm not a seasoned vaper either but that's been my experience thus far.

I have not noticed a difference in dual coils, I think it is a marketing scheme by the manufacturers to keep people from rebuilding them. My single coils seem to hit better in my evod tanks as compared to my dual coil aerotank. Maybe I am just becoming cynical in my older age....

Rebuilding dual coil heads is just as easy as rebuilding single coil heads.
