that's the thing. double o-ring does not fit in a number of attys. yet it seems the most expensive ones which tend to be acrylic variants have double O-rings. i figured it was the marque of quality or something. i have double ring tips that do not fit in a number of attys. so i was hesitant to just go order more. i figure if the others don't fit the new ones are not going to either.

Maybe take the rings off, put the tip padded with a piece of paper towel in the opening of a high speed drill. Find one of your fine files and give the grooves a light sanding.

I was able to accomplish this by hand with one of my wife's emery boards.

Or, perhaps go to HomeDepot and look for a box of thinner o-rings. #47 is the standard size.

it does seem the very most expensive ones I can find have duals. just wondering what to look for when spending $40+ if it matters.

    Day-um, dat's a lotta emery board$...

what do you want to see? I have like over 60 tips lol. yeah, I am stupid like that. they are all over the place so I don't know if I can gather every one for one pic. at the moment I am just using the aerotank mki on a hana v3 mini with a jmk gaper kfl+ stainless. that is "only" a $25 tip. not a lot of tips fit the aerotank or kfl+. I might go put on a mole hill mountain acrylic. the thing with acrylic is I like the way they look better but they get gunky on me.

The idea behind the double o-ring is so it is compltely seperated from the atty top cap, and won't get hot. Thats the idea anyway.

Im a bit of a driptip fanatic, and Ive got a whole slew of some of the highest end DTs out there, and the amount that 1 and those that have 2 orings, is about 50-50.

actually all the metal ones get plenty hot at high wattage. regardless of O-rings. the expensive ones are acrylic. I like they way they look but they get gunked up on me.

jman, can you name some of the really high end ones? I want to get more and I am running out of ideas lol.

smac, that's not hard to imagine. a kayfun is $100, a hana mod is $250+ and plenty of $40+ tips. try drip tip designz and justhatip.
I am using a aerotank right now. it is only $20. the tip on it costs twice the tank haha. look in the hana thread and I put a pic.
look in the king thread and I think I put a pic. that's a $240 mod too. I had mentioned elsewhere I have a real expensive mod but I am keeping my mouth shut now. I do not want to take it out of the package because I bought it as an investment.

anyways, I would like to know some more manufacturers of high end tips I guess. I suppose it does not matter how many O-rings they have after all. my best one has a single. it is so big it does not get hot much. I wish he would have made it dual but it was a gift. it does not fit many tanks. it will not even touch the turtleship which is not even a tank. he made it too big because he is a machinist but not a vaper. still, it was a gift and I love it.
