I am sitting here watching TV and a commercial for Chantix just came on. Why has there been no movement by the e-cig industry to put out commercials promoting the effectiveness of quitting smoking by vaping? The only things I have seen on TV are for the products pushed by big tobacco like Blu and Vuse. Not once did they say anything about them helping people to quit smoking, only stuff about advanced technology and being able to smoke wherever you want.

BT will never mention anything about quitting smoking, as there is much too much money involved in their tobacco related products. E-cigs is another additional revenue stream for them, which otherwise would be lost if they did not step in.

The Vaping community has no lead voice nor the resources to mount an ad campaign, unfortunately. That's why it is critically important for every vaper to join CASAA and support their efforts in fighting for the rights of the Vaping community and countering the efforts of BT.

I signed up as soon as I found out about it!

What about all of the commercials I see for weight loss pills that are not FDA approved? Which also appeal to youngsters because they all need that "perfect" body!

Sadly because those weight loss pills are considered supplements and aren't subject to the same types of regulations. Also, there doesn't seem to be any advocacy groups concerned with said supplements.
