About a week ago I purchased a sampler pack from Velvet Vapors. All flavors came in a VG base and 18mg Nic. I did not find that any of them gave much for throat hit, but personally I care more about good solid flavor. I would assume that if you went with the PG versions, you would get a better TH, but since I cant tolerate PG, it is as it is.
I initially tried all of the juices out using 808 cartos and a 5V PT, with 4 of the juices further being tested out in my Go-Go. All juices were thinner than I expected and did not cause any issues in filling the 3mL go-go cartos.
The two that didnt make it to the go-go were the mojito and the green apple.
Mojito I definitely got both mint and lime however it didnt really say mojito to me. Was sweet, candy like and not really what I was looking for.
Green Apple Candy Not much flavor to me the day I received it but definitely jolly rancher apple there. Will be giving it a few weeks and then trying again and hoping the flavor develops more.
The other flavors are as follows:
Lemonade - Initially I was a bit disappointed with this one. I was hoping for a fresh lemonade flavor but it is more like a mix between Country time Lemonade and a LemonHead candy. Once I tried it in the GO-GO, the flavor was more intense and it has become one of my top 5 favorite vapes and is one of three flavors that I have reordered.
Peach Very subtle, not really sweet. The best description I can give is somewhere between Snapple Peach Tea and a sort of muted jolly rancher. Good but not overpowering and a nice change of pace compared to some of my heavier flavored juices. Also one that I have reordered.
Raspberry Gingerale I ordered this one after seeing so many good reviews here. When I tried it on the 808 it was too mild but had a very natural raspberry flavor. Tried it on the go-go and got a real perfume like taste and smell. It goes to show that people have very different tastes when it comes to e-juice and this one I will pass on in the future.
MaiTai This one was a freebie that I got with my order and didnt think I would like it when I saw what flavor it was. I liked it in the 808 but couldnt really say what the flavor was so swapped to the go-go. The best description I can give on this one is what I would imagine a tropical SweetTart would taste like. Their website says rum, pineapple and orange, but there has to be other flavors in it as well since the flavor is much more complex. This is another flavor I have reordered.
Overall I was impressed with the accuracy of the flavors, how thin the juice was for being VG, shipping was fast and price was comparable to other venders. The flavors are pretty true compared to descriptions on the website and strong enough to break through the common weak flavor problem when using VG.
