Will someone please explain why there are different sized batteries (shells) but the same mAh? e.g., the Oniyo xdogg II is described as a 2200mah battery and is quite long. The eGo Mega and the istick are also 2200 but they are smaller and more compact. Is it because there might be two batteries inside the Oniyo Xdog II for a total of 2200mAh?

Also e.g., a Vision Spinner 1650 is long in shape and again the eGo Mega and istick are 2200mah but smaller in size. Are there two batteries totaling 1650mah as well? Thank you.

When they make custom sealed batteries they can make the dimensions any size they want, buut usually because its custom is why they make them non removable.

Also they can get more mah when they cut the amp output.

Example:
you can get a 30 amp battery but its only 2100 mah
Or
You can get a 3400mah but its only 7 amps.
Both are the same size

They can adjust the chemicals to get different ratings

It's like a chemical see-saw with longevity on one side and amperage on the other. Or you can put a purple wrapper on it and just make up any old number.

The external replaceable cylinder-type batteries used in "mods" are IMR or ICR chemistry batteries.

The internal non-replaceable batteries used in eGo's, MVP's, and iStick mods are LiPoly chemistry batteries.

Different chemistry batteries have different characteristics, with both pro's and cons.
