It has taken me over 4 months to finally try a 901 atty. I had previously been using almost exclusively 510 attys, and sometimes a 306 atty. While I did not have any major complaints with either the 510 or 306 attys, I, much like everyone else, am always looking for what might be better (for me).

I received my package of bulk 901 1.7ohm SLB attys today and was pleasantly suprised right from the start. No primer. Awesome! Always a plus. I have been using this atty for the last hour and it has been great. Very light, airy draw, which I love. My only real gripe with the 510 was that the draw was very tight sometimes, it seemed to vary atty to atty (even within the same manufacturer).

I have a MAP Edition 901 drip shield being delivered tomorrow (Empire drip shields have been OOS FOREVER). This should only make my new found nirvana even greater.

The best part, these came out to under $4/each. These SLB attys are going to have to prove me wrong before I stop buying them at this price, with this type of performance.

Just wanted to share my excitement, as so many times a new purchase does not live up to the hype/hope that you might have had for it. Its nice when it does!

I LOVE my 901 attys!! what does SLB mean? I've been buying mine in bulk at vaporkings and it's an awesome deal! 10 attys shipped for $4 a piece! I've been waiting for the empiremods drip shields to come back in stock too. will check out the map shields Thanks!

They're out of stock also :(

The only bad thing about the 901 is the leaking. I use a bottom feeder with a 510 thread, so I have to use an adapter. It's tricky to bottom feed a 901 with an adapter. I watch for the drop of juice to peep through the hole but that doesn't always mean it's filled enough. And the 901 is sneaky... it will leak out of the hole when I'm not looking! Even with the leaking, the flavor and performance makes it def worth it!

I am trying out my first SLB 901 right now too. Oh my God it's good! In fact the flavor is almost too much for me to handle! The vapor is amazing.
I was lucky enough to snag an Empire Hex drip shield Halloween night and threw in some 901s, just got 'em today. Of course one thing leads to another and I had to go order some 510-901 stealth adapters so the shield wouldn't look quite so funky on my mod.

What have I been missing? Oh well, I'm not missing it NOW.

I seem to be having a run of bad luck with my 901's from vaporkings. The last 3 I've used have quit working after about one day. No warning, no reduction in performance, just working great one minute and dead the next. At first I thought it was because they were low resistance (1.7). One of them I was using on a 3.7 box. Then I ordered some higher (2.9) and thought it was going to last then bam, dead. They aren't just petering out. They've just died with no warning. They were kept wet, no burnt taste whatsoever. I don't think it's anything I'm doing. Except maybe chain vaping and keeping it too hot for long. I'm really bummed. In a year of vaping I've not bad this problem. It's frustrating. It seems it's always one thing after another. If it's not attys dieing it's batts that cut off and if it's not that, it's juice that all of a sudden tastes different!

I can see why so many people get frustrated and go back to cigarettes. I can't afford to go through an atty a day!

I'm rowing the same boat with Donnah----VK 901's (standard and HV) are all dying out on me within 2 days...now I've gotten some attys (901 and others) from the classies that have lasted a month+!!!!!!!!

not sure what brand has long lasting attys (maybe Joye-from what I've heard), but 2 days/atty is just a waste of money. I'd rather spend $8/9 an atty and it last 1 month than $3.50/4 an atty for a 2 day session.

way not cool........:(

Have been using SLB 901's for about a month; one died after two days, still using 2 in rotation after 4 weeks. Prefer the 901 over the 510; 901's seem to produce better flavor and are just easier for me to use. The 901 gives more "warning" when it is about to run dry which helps me to avoid the dry atty syndrome. After about an hour of normal (for me) use, I just blow them out in a tissue and keep on vaping. Vape my 901's around 6 watts with mostly DIY juice. Have tried and own other atty devices but the 901's are now my preferred type. Just my $.02 worth.

Yea, the 901 is an awesome vape. The flavor is so intense. The vape is perfect. My last three 901's that died within a day didn't burn out. They gave no warning. They were vaping perfect, no burning or reduction in performance... Just one minute it worked fine and the next nothing. I can't figure out a common denominator. Different ohms, different batts and different pv's. My last one was wearing a drip shield and wasn't even hot.

This is sook frustrating! I finally find my perfect setup and can't keep my attys alive. I'm not a newbie!! I've kept many 510 attys alive for weeks at a time in the past year. Cartos aren't much better, after one day, mine aren't worth vaping anymore. At least they are cheap enough to toss.

An update here.. I think my atty deaths were caused by a single bad batt. I have 4 aw imr batts that I use and was using when my 901's died. I have another box that I was using a carto in this morning, using one of the aw imr batts.. the carto suddenly died. I've never had a carto just go dead like that. It was the exact same scenerio as with the 901 attys on my other mod. So I took out the battery and set it aside. This last 901 has hit the 2 day mark (Yah) so just maybe.. it was the battery. These things are soo good that I wouldn't mind too much if I could make one last at least one week. $4 a week isn't so bad.. but $4 a day is out of the question!

well.. it's not that single battery. Another 901 bites the dust after just 2 days. Vaping fine and then completely dead. No burning not warning no nothing. I was using a whole nother set of batts and was supplementing with another pv to keep from chain vaping this one. Never got hot. In fact it had been sitting for a few minutes when I picked it back up. I've got 8 more new ones but after that I won't be ordering any more. I emailed vaporkings and told them about my problem. I'm sad. Other than dying so fast, this was the perfect PERFECT atty. I guess I'll apologize to that batt and put it back in the barn with the others. +

Has anyone been able to keep these thing alive and kicking for longer than a day or two? I wrote to vaporkings and they said that they hadn't had any complaints about the 901 and they said I could send them back and they would check them out and maybe replace them. They also suggested not dripping into the atty when it's hot. I'm trying that now with my 5th or 6th one that had died within a day or two. I am keeping it wet and I'm not vaping at too high voltage. It's frustrating when I find something that I really love and then it doesn't work for long.
