somewhere out there......
As most of you know I was waiting with much anticipation the delivery of the 510 2Ohm atty to give it a whirl on my eGo. I should have read my own charts LOL.

I was never a fan of LRs to begin with, although they have their appeal in certain circumstances, but they were not the end all be all of vaping, to me anyway. I enjoyed the 1.5Ohm on the eGo but did not use the eGo because operating a proprietary $30 battery (Canada Prices) did not make a lot of sense, when knowing the battery would be stressed. The eGo being capable of 1.5A and the 2Ohm atty having a 1.55A draw, put a smile on my face. Switched ya dummy, you need to look at both charts.

Low and behold the 2Ohm runs far too cool on the eGo but performs well at 3.7V on an 18650 delivering 6.8w compared to 4.8w. The draw on the only 2Ohm I got is a little tight, similar to vaping with the cone on the eGo, so that is cool. The draw is too tight on the eGo. Because I vape the eGo with cone fitted exclusively, and the heat produced insufficient, the LR 510 has been relegated to the Precise for the time being.

I received an HV 901 a the same time, ahhhhh, thank you Isaac. I was wondering what all the hooplah was all about wrt the 901 atty. I did not like 901s in the past, and found the atty too finicky, always bordering on being flooded or wouldn't wick worth a damn at 3.7V, and only performed slightly better at 5V. Well that might be a 3.7V but not at 6V. I spent the entire time available from a set of LifePO4s, dripping it :D TH was decent and vapour production more than adequate. I least now I have renewed faith in the 901. A cooler vape with a soothing throat hit and great flavour, as a 901 should.

The LR 801 shorty. Good vapour production but runs a little on the hot side for me and my vaping style. I absolutely love the aesthetics of the unit. This is a winner aesthetically speaking. I want to give this atty the run for it's money. I have only been using it with RY4 at this point and the delicate bouquet of RY4 is not shining through in comparison to its bigger brother. I will be switching juices and see if it improves.

I would definitely like to see this atty developed in 3.5 and 5.2 Ohms, I believe it would be a hard item to keep in stock. Mind you, the proxixity of the coil to the lips (heat), may not be suitable at high voltages or pleasing to some.

This short review is entirely subjective IMHO. Depending on what criterias folks based their vaping nirvana on. The entire SLB line is a quality product and performs extremely well as intended, where intended. Being that I prefer to vape in the vacinity of 6-8 watts, make most of my reviews on HV highly subjective, and I apologise for that. Some folks look for heat, I simply don't. So please do not read into this more than is necessary.
Hey Switch great reveiw. Have you thought about maybe drilling a small hole or two in the cone? I am thinking of doing this with my eGo. I was thinking that maybe a small hole or two may help with air flow kind of like how a 901 receives it's airflow through a small hole in the attie's tube. I can't stand a stiff draw because for some reason the stiff draw forces the attie to flood the battery contacts through the air ports of the attie. Which increases resistance and decreases the vapor... not good.

Besides if the airholes doesn't work I can always get a replacement cone over at TW. Anyway this may help you out unless you really like that stiff draw and I know a lot folks do.

Yes we had a ball complete with a nic headache the following day LOL. At one point they had me laughing so hard I gagged on a hit, and for once was speachless LOL. I had a great time, and learned a lot with regards to nicotine intake.

Folks could not believe the quality of both the Chameleon and P18. Here is one for folks to giggle about:

I drove 1600Kms give or take (1000 miles) to go to a vapers meet, which as we know is about non-smoking, and got stuck in a "somking room" at the local motel. Now that my friends is Epic.

We had a blast folks, and the best part of the evening was seeing the expression of a new member after making the/a switch to an eGo. I believe the eGo (and its associates) are the new entry level PVs. I know my original 510s have started to gather dust. It wasn't the PV per se, but the knowledge that someone found their nirvana to remain smoke free. That was priceless!

The Polar Bear will be back as soon as I get home as the pic is on the main frame.

Isaac,

Yup! 12 hrs to Montreal, Toronto is 6 hrs beyond that. Anyone who can attend a vaper's meet in their area, should attend. The experience cannot merely be described in words.

Thats why I have bear in my id.. My wife gave that to me one day when I got upset (mad) and yelled about something. She said I almost made her pee her pants. LMAO..
Since then she has been calling me bear (stubear) and also because I'm big and cuddly. (more ways than one..):2cool:

Nope, I wasn't experimenting again. Just vaping with them and they quit with-in 10 minutes of use. (both of them) and I am using the 801 shorty, but a little at a time. Waiting on the others to come in.

Last night I feel asleep and woke up holding my button on my JM and burnt out my last EM LR 510 atty I as sent from another user as they wanted me to try them out. Also drained my battery too.
Now I just want the 801 LR shorties as I get much more vapor from them and I take less of a drag from those than the 510's.. LOL.

Nothing to do with the cone my friend, it is the atty itself, which could be just a one off. I have more coming so I will be testing them accordingly.
Well folks I did had my BO waiting for me when I arrived. I primed an LR 510 and fitted it to the eGO, Nice... what I expected 1st time around :D
