So as the title says i have an AGA-T+, and there are small issues, the center nuts on it are horribly threaded and barely catch the center screw and for the most part turn without ever catching, and i received it this way. They work well enough that when i have a wire in place and the nut is at an angle the threads will catch and tighten down but as time has progressed over the last couple months and i have been rebuilding the coils it's obviously starting to loosen more readily and cause my ohms to start jumping thus facilitating the need to open it up tighten it down and adjust etc.

Anyone have a suggestion for a fix? I've considered finding a threaded screw and nuts to replace the centerpost and top nuts. The only problem is that then i will have to modd the nuts and screw head to fit as the center post, which isn't necessarily a no go but filing down the nuts will be a major pain.

Also any suggestions on other rba's with slightly better build quality? (keep price in mind please I have a 9 week old and funds are tighter than they used to be)

my main PV is a provari with the AGA-T+, and before that it was a lavatube and DCTank that died. I obviously still have the DCT's still laying around as backups in case something happens to the rba.

many thanks,
Sniff

Woot that solves the AGA-T, now for the play part...

Any suggestions for a different rba? And maybe mech mod... Looking for middle of the road quality and pricing.

I just ordered one of those. They look fantastic.

As for a mech... I've been using my KTS chichi a lot. It's compact and works really well. Exhalevapors has them for $25 or so.

I wonder if the agat2 glass would fit into it and work.

Also I ordered the kts storm from exhalevapors and used a code and brought it down to $21 on friday. Excellent shipping. I ordered it after 3:30. Within 20min had a email saying shipped. Checked today and usps says will be delivered monday. I'm glad I bought my aw imr 18650 batteries friday after ordering at my local vape shop and charged both of them that night. I fig I wouldnt get it till tuesday or latest wed. VaporJoeJerseyJuice is the coupon code

I'm running a 1.2ohm coil with 30awg kanthal right now and I'm amazed no gunking of coils and its cooler than the 32awg kanthal I had on before and after a fresh coil made it would gunk up after 3-4 vapes. Constantly had to dry burn and would happen just as quick again. I also want to try out a .7ohm setup so that's why I ordered the mechanical and also have 50ft of 28awg kanthal on the way. Also want to try out micro coils. Got a IGO L on the way for a rebuildable dripper. Trying everything out. Prob put my 32awg kanthal in the classifieds. 30awg I have not once had one single hot spot. Even on a new wick and new coil and never had to touch up a coil (no hotspots popping up at all during vaping).

That's pretty impressive, I've got 100' of kanthal 32, and nichrome 28 and 30. Grabbed them off eBay around 5$ a pop. After I got the 30 I haven't touched the 32 since

I'm not to big on drippers, after 2 years of vaping I'm still very much in the mindset its a tool to keep me from smoking and haven't really branched out on flavors. My biggest gripe back when I started was short battery life and short refill time, I work in a hospital for 12 hour shifts so for me the hunt for a long lasting mod began.

So far I've ended up where I currently am and I am happy with my mod. I finally feel like I can start branching out and start lowering my nic concentration again and with this I am more looking at it like something to play with try out new flavors etc... And the thought of experimenting with everything seems like a lot of fun because I will have my go to vape setup and ready to go.

I really like the look of the above posted rba I'll probably pick up a cheap did clone as well, I like the challenge of the rbas. At one point I had and 8/9 wrap of 28 on my aga. It was probably the prettiest and most consistent coil I have ever made! But due to the provari if I had ripped 1-2 wraps off it would have errored out on me sadly.

Sorry for the ramble getting excited about making coils and trying juices! Not to mention my wife doesn't complain nearly as much about what I spend... Ecig supplies are so much cheaper than new graphics cards motherboards and water cooling :)

I love my provari mini but the run time (especially with a lower ohm rba) isn't what it is when I had 2.5ohm or 3ohm hh.357s or a nova..etc. so tthat's the main reason for me getting the kts storm and why I bought the 18650 batteries. I go through 2 18350s minimum a day and is usually 3 lately. I'm still going to be using the AGA-T2 on the provari v2 mini and use the 30awg kanthal (have 50ft 30, 100ft 32, and 50 ft 28) around 1.2 ohm.

I think I'm getting vapers tongue with the radiator pluid so now with a mechanical I can have another flavor and hopefully advoid it. I almost ordered another kts storm just to have a third flavor to rotate with on sat but waiting till I get my first one on monday and see how I like it.

I don't use my c twists anymore and going to give it to 2 people at work that been asking about vaping and talking about going to sweet vapes (local vap store) and buying a kit.

I also keep the two screws on my AGA-T2 half way screwed in. I'm sure air can get through the threading.
