I just got my kayfun the other day and I went to refill it today and now I'm getting a dry burnt taste coming off my coil. I didn't use a needle tipped syringe, just a normal syringe and I flooded the tank a bit but I got the excess juice out of the air flow hole but I can't figure out why I'm getting a dry hit like that.

If anyone can shed some light on my current predicament I'd really appreciate it, thanks in advance.

It would have been better if you had included a bit more information, like the resistance of the coil, how much power you are using and what you're making the wick from.

I've found that 16 watts is just about the maximum that these RBAs can tolerate with the standard coil design and standard 'S' shaped wick. If you are close to or over that, then this could be it. If you're using a different wick design, you might still use this guideline as a safe maximum and experiment with more power later if you feel inclined to.

Make sure the wick is not touching either juice channel opening. It should stop just above it.

I had the exact same problem with mine at the beginning and I solved it with a combination of these two things.

Hang in there, you'll get it and it's great once it works right!
