My apartment has been smelling a bit off recently, and anyone who comes by notices, you only notice it when you walk in the apartment and you get used to it in 5 minutes or so. But I just can't seem to locate the source of the problem.

It drives my roommate crazy (he is a bit crazy), and he's been blaming my vaporizer for the smell. I think it is not entirely impossible, so my question is - does anybody else have problems with the vapor leaving a stink? I can only describe the smell as 'musky'.

I am asking in the Tasty Vapor sub-forum, as I've only been using Tasty Vapor liquid, and wanted to see if anybody else has similar problems. I've mainly been on chocolaty flavors, such as Tasty Finger, and Mint Chocolate Chip.

It's been hot and humid here, makes everything smell funky. Did you smoke inside the apartment prior to vaping? If so it might be the humidity and the old cig...air conditioner? They can cause a kind of funky smell too if they are in need of serious cleaning, all the old condensation etc.

If it were the vaping, I'd be smelling it in my car big time. Rarely ever smoked in it but vape nonstop in it.

When I gave up smoking 3 months ago. I scrubbed everything in my house, carpets, furniture, walls, etc. I have been vaping consistantly in my home for the past 3 months and everyone and I mean all my non-smoking family tell me how wonderful my house smells. I seriously doubt your vaping is causing the smell. A musty or musky smell could be caused by dampness in the air. It could be mold or mildew or it could just be the hot and humid weather. I have central air and when it is overly humid, I notice condensation in my air vents, and that can cause a musty smell as well. I seriously doubt your vaping is causing it.

hahah... Amy we were typing the exact same post at the exact same time. I agree this hot and humid weather makes everything stink. I tried to raise the windows one morning just for some fresh air, and even the outside had a wet funky musty smell.

Great minds think alike.

This is most likely the problem, if you did smoke analogs before, I have the same smell in my car, which is a 16 year old Jetta, still running strong. I know no way of riding the smell from the ducts in the car, or the seats, in time perhaps that will disappear, if not I live with it. I did not smoke in my house, so I do not have that "funky" smell. I also live in a hot and humid area.

Haytoni, My FIL had bought a used van to use for his business. It reeked of cigs and he's asthmatic and doesn't smoke. He lined the seats cut up brown paper grocery bags and covered them generously with whole coffee beans. Drove it around for a few days looking like a coffee house on wheels. I think he left the beans in for several days if not almost a week. Smelled like a starbucks but it did get rid of the cig odor.

There is a vent inlet in your car under the dash forward of the passenger seat. Spray Lysol or fabreeze into it while A/C is running and it really helps. A few applications will take control of the odor in the car. Just don't over do it! A little goes a long way but it will take a while. Your nose is getting more sensitive to actual smells after not smoking.... You will definitely notice a difference.

As far as the house, have you checked the air handler filter yet? And of course follow the same instructions I gave to the poor Jetta owner! It works.

Well, my computer room smells vaguely of Geoff's Caramel Macchiato. Seems fitting since it's the strongest of his juice I've gotten and I believe it's the one I've gotten the most of. It's not a bad smell, though. Gives the room a certain character. Just needs some oak paneling, a couple of old leather Queen Anne chairs with matching footstools and an antique, sepia colored globe off to the side. ;)

If you do that, you definitely have to get a Steam Punk computer.

I... I am in awe. That is one of the most awesome things I've seen in the last couple of days. :D Reminds me, I forgot to mention the pool-table green throwrug under the chairs and footstools. I've always had the fantasy that when I get enough money, I was going to make a traditional English Study with little steampunk automatons and gadgets scattered around.
