Hello All,

I've been using the zeus and smileomizer basically since their introduction. Anyway, I fill according to the instructions and have had good results. Staring with my last order I've been having failures. I will fill a smileomizer and within a day, it takes a long pull for minimal vapor and no through hit. Like using a mod that has low batteries..
I have tested the ones that have gone bad and I have found the resistance has gone up to around 6 ohms.
I can say I have not dropped or otherwise abused my zeus. And the bad smileomizer acts the same way on different batteries!
I'm not sure what is causing this, but it is very frustrating! !
Between the cost of smileomizers and the wasted juice this is becoming a loosing battle!!
Any one else experiencing this?
Anyone know what's causing it?

Hi VV, I have had some recent smileo's seem to clog more quickly than usual, but I attributed it to some new juices I am using. I am not technical in the least so I can't help you there. Not sure what is causing the shorter lifespan of the smileos; I have wondered if they changed the 'diaper' material around the coil, tho.

Something has changed.. that's for sure. Mime don't seem to be clogging. But the coil is giving up the ghost.. for instance. I filled a smileomizer yesterday after lunch. I woke up this morning and it started acting up. Easy to pull but it took much longer to get minimal amounts of vapor with no throat hit. The smileomizers act the same way no matter which zeus battery is in use. I have wasted more juice in the last 2 weeks than I ever have... once they start acting like this there is no getting them back. The resistance just keeps climbing until the coil pops...

I should add that more of mine have 'burnt up' than clogged, which I agree is frustrating. I have many smileo's in use, with different flavors, and I change flavors one or twice a day, so I never use one for more than 7-8 hours before changing out to a different flavor. The new cart I filled on Friday, with new juice (blackberry), which I have only vaped for a few hours each day, just 'burnt'. I've been vaping it since early this a.m, always refill before using, and one minute it was fine, the next toast

I have been using smileo's exclusively since they were 1st introduced, and I have more problems now than ever. Something surely has changed, and not for the better.

I opened another ticket and as usual the staff at V4L were extremely helpful and will be sending replacements. However they did say that they have been getting an influx of complaints regarding the Smileomizers and are working towards a fix. I was asked to measure the resistance prior to filling them with juice. According to CS they have tested some on site and the resistance has been all over the place.
So they are aware of the issue and are working towards a fix!! That's the good news, bad news is no one knows what the fix is or how long it may take.

Thanks for the info. I hate to have to go back to tanks and give up my smileo's.

Just my luck to come back to try V4L since 2011, and have it be at the same time there's some issue going on with the Smileo's that I read and watched so much enthusiasm about. Enough for me to spend $170 on giving them that try....

Just an update, I received my replacement Smileomizers. I did not go through all of them, but I did measure resistance before filling the first one and it was within the tolerance. I filled, vaped, after 2 days began having the same issue where I would pull for a long time with very little vapor production, I re measured the coil and it had gone up to 4.5 Ohms. Im not sure what causes this, but its getting old fast!! Now don't get me wrong, V4L has been great about sending replacements, but how long before that stops? Measuring resistance prior to filling would prevent wasted juice on a D.O.A Smileomizer, but verifying that the resistance is within tolerance only to have it drift 2 days later and cause failure still equals a lot of wasted juice!! I hope they figure this out, and fast!!!

Thanks for the update. I couldn't check the resistance if my life depended on it, and I've had so many go bad recently I quit counting. Hope that get it fixed, soon!
