I just got this a couple of weeks ago & I've read the owners manual & luckily got some quick help last time to why after I turn it off, or refill it, something is making it not turn back on. Then I started noticing yesterday that it was beginning to taste burnt. But after only 2 weeks?!? I've had coils in my Aspire nautilus, Cleito, etc that have lasted way over a month before they started tasting funky/burnt. Thankfully this new smok kit came with a spare as I had no idea it would croak out that quickly. Is this normal? Thanks!

Could be ok regarding length of service, I use RDA's and build my own coil. If you can bend a paperclip, you can build a coil. You Tube has some building tips.

2 weeks is about right.

If you run minimum wattage with clear coloured liquids, can extend that to a month or even more.

If you use darker liquids and/or run it over 35w, 2 weeks is right.

This is reason why in all my Smok tanks I use the RBA, coils are expensive and life span isn't that great.

It is all a matter of your own comfort level when it comes to coils. I found I preferred to build my own on dedicated RTAs rather than keep buying factory coils. That being said, I still use several modes with factory coils for convenience sake such as travel or I'm just too lazy to rewick a tank at that moment (pretty disgraceful, I know). When I do use factory coils my experience is pretty much that which Corey described. A long time with lightly flavored juices (I've never really vaped much unflavored long enough to judge) and a few weeks or even less with a very sweet juice.

Two weks on a Smok coil with a sweet juice is not bad at all. Unfortunately, Smok coils tend to be expensive, although the Beast series seems to be a bit more affordable than the bigger regular TVF8 and TVF12 or whatever they're called that can run $5 a coil.
