Welcome @Wildveper7 !

I have both and can say if you don't like the battery life of the AL85, you will not like the battery life of the Stick. Add to that the Stick has no power adjustment (ETA: or battery indicator!), the lesser of two "evils" would be the AL85 and carry spare batteries. I like both and both have their place in my rotation, but IMHO, there are better options for one's only/main set-up.

I also have the full Alien, a G-Priv, and a GX2/4 and my preference for a main device is the GX2/4. First, it comes with the bigger Baby Beast tank for less frequent fillings. Second, in dual battery mode, it is the smallest/lightest dual 18650 I have (out of 7) and has plenty of battery life. Thirdly, it adds the option to change to quad 18650 mode for even more battery life as well as more power should one ever morph into that. Even I, with some problematic hands, found it quite easy to hold and use. I am hearing that many users are getting the GX2/4 and only using it in dual mode. I like having the option of popping into quad mode for overnight trips knowing I am good for at least 2 days (YMMV, depending on high wattage use). I think it is at least worth a look.

Good luck and let us know what you decide. :vapor:

The Smok Stick performs like a mech. As the battery drains, your output goes down. As mentioned above, it is not adjustable either. Not a great product at all IMO and I really dislike the M2 coils compared to ALL other TFV8 mini coils.

The AL85 is ok, but my go to mod is the full size Alien. It's small and the 2 batteries are essential IMO for vaping over 40w and getting good battery life.

For any good battery life mod having 2 batteries is always better imho :p
I don't have any alien kits or smok's mod but i do have my predator 228 which i absolutely love.
Doing 40-50 watts lasts me 2 days lol (it's a ....* to charge though but it's well worth it)

An external charger and another pair of married 18650's are a great ....* remover! :D
I already use an external charger :p but at the rate they charge it takes about 4 hours. Thankfully i have 2 mods and 2 tanks so I can peacefully wait :D

Nb:i do only charge them about every 2 days or so, and mostly charging them in the evening when i vape much less so it's mostly me loving my new mod too much ahah

My out and about mod is an eleaf I stick Pico paired with a Smok Baby Beast tank. I get all day at work on a single battery. My favorite 2 battery devices are the Smoant Battlestar and Charon 218. Quality issues with Smok products has steered me away from those, specifically the Alien line. Most Smok products do not allow or recommend charging thru the USB port. Battlestar USB can be charged and used as a Passthrough device.
