smok's ALIKE kit is a new pod system with tri-proof characteristics (IPX7) capable of resisting shocks, dust and diving at one meter depth for 30 minutes.

The ALIKE offers good ergonomics and a comfortable grip, the sup compact body is embellished with leather finishes and aesthetically beautiful seams that give it an artisan look.

It has an internal 1600 mAh battery that can generate up to 40 watts of maximum power.

It uses the super tested Coil RPM which also in this version offer good aromatic yield and steam production.

Product packaging:
The packaging is the classic smok packaging, the combination of drawer and cover is practical, simple and elegant. The anti-counterfeiting codes, the characteristics of the product, the list of contents, warnings, logos and brands are all shown on it.

The device has a total of 5 colors to choose from.

The shape of the Alike is compact thanks to the pod tank system which also makes it very resistant for outdoor use.

The construction material is solid, most of the Alike's body is wrapped in leather-like material embellished with very beautiful seams, the feeling of grip is very good.

The plastic activation button is well-sized and comfortable to click, it has a 0.96 "display with clear and easily readable indications, the up and down buttons are located in the lower part.

The rear side highlights the airflow for feeding the coil, underneath always on the tank / pod there is a recess with 3 horizontal bars with a handle useful for extracting the same tank, in the center we find the continuation of the motif in leather with stitching.

The waterproof micro USB socket is hidden on the bottom by a silicone plug, it takes about 80 minutes for a full charge, we also note the vent holes for the battery.

The housing for the Pod has two contact pins and two very large and tenacious magnets.

The 5.5ml tank / pod supplied can accommodate all the coils of the RPM series, here we see it depicted with the two coils provided, note the two magnets, the pleasant surprise of the Drip-Tip 510 interchangeable and last indicated by the arrow the airflow obtained directly on the pod near the coil.

This RBA is specially designed by SMOK engineers to help us find an individual vape style thanks to the possibility of being able to build our own coils ourselves.

Here we can see the correct refil procedure, in the last image we see the front of the pod with its ergonomic processes suitable for example to accommodate the index finger.

Available separately there is a second tank that allows you to use the NORD coils:

As already mentioned, we can use any 510 drip tip and this is a really nice feature:

How the Alike Pod Kit works:

- 5 Click on the fire button to turn on / off the mod
- in case of long shot over 8 seconds the delivery stops.
- 3 click on the fire button to lock / unlock the Mod.
- to lock / unlock the Wattage press the Up and Down buttons together.
- To reset the number of puffs, press the Down and Fire buttons together
- Press the Up and Fire buttons together to change the colors of the graphic theme.

Final thoughts:

With the 0.4 ohm RPM coil the thrust already at 25w the yield in Flavor is remarkable and it is in my opinion advisable not to exceed a nicotine concentration of 3mg / ml.

Otherwise with the coil from 0.8 ohm to 17W you can abound more with nicotine as it affects the throat less and you can get a narrower shot in open MTL style.


The RBA has on its body an airflow suitable for a rather open shot, it is useless to try to make a vape in MTL, therefore I find appropriate the use of a 5 turns coil 2,5mm diameter with 27Ga ka1 wire for 0.7 / 0.8 Ohm .

This KIT ALIKE produced by SMOK is interesting and full of personality with a nice innovative design, the materials used give good tactile feedback, finally the drip-tip is replaceable.

Versus:

- Liquid level not visible from the outside.
- Location of the Micro Usb port inconvenient for charging.
