Hi Guys I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. I recently got the SMOK Alien 220 Mod and just started using the Baby tank that it came with.
I have been reading forums where people are getting weeks out of these coils and so far I have gone through 4 in maybe a 2 week time frame. They seem to last me at most 3-4 days before I start tasting burnt. Right now I have a V8-T6 coil in and the mod is set to 65 WATTs, I put this coil in two days ago and I am starting to get a slight burnt taste already.

I prime the coils as I was instructed I even dry hit the crap out of it before I start. I always start low way below the best wattage settings.

Could it be my juice? Could it be the way I inhale? ( too hard or too light?). I just have never experienced this before. I was using the tobecco super mini tank before this and I have never had this issue. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Wow thats long life, I am staring to think it is my juice. It is a 70/30 and I was reading that the higher wattage coils tend to be bad for the thinner juice. I use the iced apple reds. The coils don't look burned out but you do see a lot of build up. I have primed them every time and started very low. However the T6 sand T8 seem to last me maybe 4-5 days before I start tasting burnt.

I got 10,000 puffs out of the 1st one and right now about 6,800 on the 2nd one but I do not think I will get as many puffs because I ran it low once. One thing I noticed is if you chain vape and let the tank run low it starves for liquid since the coils have big long liquid ports which extend high up in the tank. When I am trying to finish one flavor to switch to another I roll the liquid around the coil to keep it wet. Once they are gone though no way to stretch the life.

Yeah I counted how many I have in the package and then I remembered that I fried a coil because I ran the tank dry. Still getting months is great but it is not a ADV. I use it for a few hours a day but I try not to push most of my coils to the Max because I think they taste better. Run you engine at Red Line all the time and it won't go for 200K miles if you understand what I mean.

I have tried both the T6 and the T8. I have the X4 on order. I just put in a T8 yesterday the recommended best settings are 60-80 Watts I believe and I have mine at 65, which feels very light has some decent taste but I know it can go up more to 70 or even 80 and it probably be fine but I am just playing it safe right now. Is there anything out there that states what coils you should use for the juice ratio you have? I am just starting to get frustrated I just want a good experience and I can't figure this out.

The X4 is the coil I use. I've also used the Q2 and T8 but I find the X4 to be the best combination of vapor, flavour and just the right airflow. I use it at 45 Watts which is the bottom of the recommended range. I find any higher and the only thing it does it makes it a hotter vape with no gain in flavour.
