I have had way smaller vape devices and found this one. I absolutely love it minus one flaw. After i got it and put together and all that i cant get the tank off now. Im pretty sure i didnt screw it on that tight but when i try to unscrew it the glass part of the tank just rotates and i dont want to pull that up.

If u havent noticed i am fairly new to vaping and especially mods

Not sure if it applies to this case but for me when im trying to rewick and/or change the coil in my atomizer it helps to wear rubber gloves (you know the blue/purple ones everyone uses now) when im trying to unscrew the top from the bottom part of the atomizer,sometimes the glass is just slippery and this helps to unscrew it.

cheers

    Sometimes I've had to use a pair of pliers (not for a tight grip, but for the leverage). I put a rubber band between the pliers and the tank metal. To keep a metal to metal safe social distance you know.. ;)

    I've had this problem and I found the easiest way is wrap a large rubber band round the bottom of the tank where the afc ring is (the air adjustment slot)then grip the rubber band in one hand and the mod in the other, if that fails I used a small pair of pliers, you won't mark the tank as the rubber band protects it, I have not used the freezer method because I'm sure condensation will get inside the mod and onto the electronics, I stand to be corrected if that's not the case, welcome to ecf

    Welcome to ECF :thumbs:

    Try this:
    -Battery off the device
    -Carefully put something across the airflow at the bottom like a small screwdriver
    -Use that as a lever to rotate the tank

    Careful not to damage anything

    Stay safe.

    That's what I do. I use a brand new, clean pair of work gloves with rubber coated pals/fingers. Makes me feel like superman lol. I can open and grip just about anything with those gloves except for certain types of plastic.

    Love them for working outside, too.

    Those refer to specific metals used in some coils... they require temperature control. Please stick to just using power mode (watts) until you learn more.
    This^^^

    I'm very familiar with this chip and menu system if you run into any trouble. The good thing is, except for the wastage itself, it's practically impossible to change anything else by accident.

    Why?

    WHY!?!?!?
    I’ve been out of the loop for a while. It’s not impossible they’ve gotten better, but for a long time smok was famous for below bottom shelf product quality. To the point of dangerous. They made decent tanks, more or less, but their VV mods were famous for breaking in months and having substandard basics like half soldered leads and plastic where there shouldn’t be plastic. Poor production rather than poor design generally. There was a time when ecig shops were stopping sales of smok products because the high return rate was killing them. They were considered the huffy bicycle of ecigs.

    Ti = titanium wire
    Ss = stainless steel
    Ni = nichrome

    Certain wire types change resistance when heated so the chip set in the mod keeps the vape stable, if you use ss316 then the mod is set to ss316 and then you set the temperature you would like the coils to fire at.
    To be honest you need a good chip set for tc like yihi, I've tried numerous times with tc and I have had only limited success.
    As above you need to understand how wire and resistance work.
    I've give up on tc because most of my mods dont really like it, I'm sticking to power mode(vw).
    Lots of info on this forum about tc but its a sharp learning curve.
    I currently have dual ss316 coils in my fatality m25 and the resistance fluctuates between 0.14 ohms to 0.17 ohms so in theory tc control would account for the fluctuations.
    See below for a better description of ni, thankyou punk in drublic
