I don't think there are any drop in smok coils for temp control, so yes, use wattage only. I stand ready to be corrected.

Some wires like titanium and nickel can ONLY be vaped in TC but it's a safe bet you are using kanthal.

I often screw in my tanks too tight, but an alan wrench in the airhole (you need it really seated um, fully like it won't move) for reverse leverage usually steers me right, and if you can get the top of the tank off, addressing the bottom part will be easier as you won't have the glass to deal with. It's a thought anyway. I always want to tell me "Anna, finger tight is fine" but I often ignore me.

Welcome to ECF.

I have not heard ANY smok complaints recently now I think about it,

Anna

I’ve been out of the loop for a while. It’s not impossible they’ve gotten better, but for a long time smok was famous for below bottom shelf product quality. To the point of dangerous. They made decent tanks, more or less, but their VV mods were famous for breaking in months and having substandard basics like half soldered leads and plastic where there shouldn’t be plastic. Poor production rather than poor design generally. There was a time when ecig shops were stopping sales of smok products because the high return rate was killing them. They were considered the huffy bicycle of ecigs.
Listen friend, I have no authority here and I'm not tryin to be anybody's mama, but this fella came here looking for help.

Why does it have to turn into a debate about Smok?

I have 3 older Smok mods that use that same chip and all 3 work fine to this day. Why can't we just help the guy for now? :)
