The smok g-priv 3 230w is the latest mod box of the G-PRIV series, completely updated both in terms of software and hardware. It is powered by two 18650 batteries in series, has the new intelligent IQ-G chipset, with a large 2.4-inch touchscreen, quite responsive, most of the operations can be completed with a simple touch. 6 colors are available for screen settings. With the independent button you can lock / unlock the screen easily. With the USB Type-C fast charging system that supports super fast 2A charging, the batteries recharge completely in a short time. In addition, there are multiple types of protections to avoid potential risks.

The packaging shows on the front the image of the Mod, the writing of the model in question, the color and a small logo that reminds us of the use of the Conical Mesh Coil with nexMesh technology for the new TFV16 Lite atomizer.
At the rear are the various warnings and the manufacturer's address.

The battery compartment panel (removable) is decorated with an acrylic motif and a large G-PRIV 3 writing
The other is fixed and houses the 2.4 "HD screen with Touch controls.

The narrow Front side houses the large fire button and the small independent button which acts as well as deactivating the screen and also locking / unlocking it.
The opposite narrow side is without controls.

The cup has a floating pin and houses 28mm atomizers without protrusion.
The lower part of the mod houses the USB-C charging socket, the disposal logo, the C E mark and the vents for the battery.

The battery compartment has a convenient strap to facilitate the extraction of the cells and is clearly marked by the + and - symbols for their correct insertion.
Note also the arrangement of the 3 powerful magnets for closing the flap.

The batteries are correctly inserted, the inside of the flap shows the warnings and is covered with protective material being in contact with the cells.

Operation:
-To turn on the mod you need 5click on the fire button.

-To vap, press the fire button, if the shooting time exceeds 10S this is interrupted.

-Pressing the fire button 3 times quickly we lock / unlock the screen including the fire button.

-In the unlocked position of the screen and the touch with the right and left arrows at the bottom you can adjust the wattage

- Locking the Fire button will lock the touch function simultaneously. To use the touch function again, you need to hold down the secondary button on the narrow side (above the fire button).

-To switch off the device, click on the fire button 5c, at this point YES or NO will be asked, type above Yes to switch off, alternatively it is possible with the settings to deactivate this function in order to switch off the device directly only with the classic 5click.

Balanced Battery Charge
During use, the device keeps the two batteries balanced, balancing is performed when the levels of the two batteries are different from each other.

When the touch and the screen are unlocked, you can enter the functions by pressing the touch button at the top left and choose the vape mode:

-VW Mode
4 different types of preheat soft / norm / hard / max can be selected

-Tc Mode
1) choose the material by pressing NI / TI / SS
2) Press the Touch or keys to adjust the best temperature of the TCR setting.
3) Press the Touch or keys to adjust the preheat from 10 to 230W, by default it is set to 60W.

-My Mode
it is possible to select and modify 4 different vaping modes with different settings, and they can also be renamed.

-Puff setting
by entering this function it is possible to reset or adjust the limit in the number of puffs (9999 by default)
or to have no limit just select 0.

- System setting
the setting system is divided into four parts: general settings, chip information, theme settings and passcode settings.

1) General setting: the display with this function indicates general information on the device, on its name, on the software version, on the firmware, on its origin. It is possible to restore it to factory data or select the type of shutdown (whether with confirmation or direct)

2) Chip: the dispay shows the information on the IQ-G control board.

3) Theme Setting: 6 colors (blue, purple, orange, yellow, white and green) can be selected and the display's automatic switch-off time can also be adjusted from 15s to 240s.

4) Passcode Setting: after entering the passcode you need to answer two questions, the answers could be useful if you forget the passcode.

The TFV16 Lite tank, as its name indicates, is the lite version of the big and big TFV16, thanks to the two new mesh coils (proprietary) it has very similar performances.

It is a new 28mm diameter atomizer that apart from the coils (not interchangeable) and the size also keeps the relationship with the classic TFV16 technically close.

Structurally, the tank is not something new or unique for the vaping industry, it has the upper refill with the classic Smok closure assisted by the lock button already seen on the standard version of the Tfv16, the adjustable lower air flow with ring nut is modified by the manufacturer for greater functionality in terms of cloud production and aroma quality, i.e. the tank is very raised compared to the deck to allow a good air flow for the coil, something similar I had already seen with the TF Tank always by Smok.

Smok has introduced two new coils for its new product. The first is the so-called conical mesh coil with a resistance of 0.2Ω and, as the name suggests, with a cone-shaped mesh. According to the manufacturer, this solution significantly improves the aromatic yield and the production of steam, the Dual Mesh Coil is designed for even greater power, as it contains two coils whose total resistance is 0.15Ω.

Final thoughts
The Smok G-PRIV 3 in kit with its new TFV16 Lite I liked a lot, it is a dual Battery of fairly small size and with a sporty and captivating graphics, it holds well in the hand, the weight is felt but it is not excessive, the large fire button is comfortable to click, the chip offers various functions and manages the batteries well, at 75W I made about 400 puffs with two VTC6, the display can be disabled for energy saving and can be changed in the background colors, it has a clearly legible and very sporty graphic, the battery compartment is accessible and well insulated thanks to a flap that closes perfectly and tenaciously with 3 powerful magnets.

The TFV16 Lite is well balanced, has a simple and robust construction, the coils are push-in and at full opening of the ring it is less airy than the classic TFV16, but still offers a massive production of steam, also the aroma seems to benefit from the arrangement of the airflows that are placed very low compared to the new coils, this system refers to the TF tank that had already impressed me favorably, I would say that the Lite among the last Atoms of Smok is the missing link between the TF Tank and the classic TFV16 .

I recommend this kit to anyone looking for a handy dual battery, with a chip that works well, not too heavy and with a very pleasant design (in my opinion).
