Howdy folks... curiosity drove me to do a bit of reaserch, and this is what I have so far.

Some are probably aware of the Smok Galileo V3 that is now available from madvapes and others for around $40. The mech was accidentally(?) put up on their website a few days ago as a pre-order, then hastily removed, until today. Sunny Vaping has them for a few bucks more.

Here is the Alibaba page on it.

It appears to have some cosmetic elements in common with the Italian "Galileo V3 mod by Yasu" (Portugal link)... and some unique to smok. As it's a mag button device, some have opined that it's really just a smok Magneto with rounded off end caps and a unique pattern finish... the interior photos seem to indicate this may be the case, but who's to say until we can see them side by side.

I guess we'll all figure it out eventually. ;-)

I'm as yet undecided on ordering one... but if you want one, the discount code "lovetovape5" works at Madvapes and "yousave5%" works at Sunny Vaping.

Just won one of these on a vape show. I'll subscribe to the thread and let you know what I think of it when it comes.
Sounds good Glen. Looking forward to your review. I was all set to hit the button on one, but I've just got too much going on and need another mech like I need a Fill in your own metaphor here.

Got mine today. Quickie review after using it for 1/2 hour:

Hits great! Better than a K100. Adjustable center pin and Ego threading are great features if you use EMDCC's like I do - holds the carto securely without shorting the center pin as many mods seem to do these days. Magnetic button has a nice feel - smooth action, but stiff enough to not fire if set on end. It does have a locking mechanism on the button, which turns smoothly and easily. Very glad to have this in stainless steel, as I am tired of "chrome" finishes on chinese mods wearing off after a month. However, there is one chromed part - it is the vented ring right above the locking mechanism. This part looks brass on the inside, so I asume the finish will wear off here. It will not fit an 18650 with a Kick, but most of my other mods do not either. Should fit an 18500 with kick just fine. This basically feels like a more refined Magneto - slimmer, smoother, and with the ego top. I like it - but am going to see how it holds up after a month for final verdict: I am hard on mods, so I require tough ones. This one seems up to the task, but time will tell. 20130930_162903.jpg

Guess I better watch this one too, love the magneto but, would love the ego threading for at work and using the ego threaded stuff.....Thanks!
If you already have a Magneto, you can get a eGo/510 top cap for them now. I think... maybe $10-$13 or so. They pop up fast in a Google search. :)

Yep, I saw them on madvapes when I was ordering this one.

Just order it from Madvapes. Imo, much sleeker looking than the Magneto, which I almost pull the trigger on. The Galileo also comes with the adjustable pin (deal breaker) & eGo thread (not going to use it much, but it's there), which is difficult to come by when searching for the Magneto v2.

Btw, Madvapes does have it for $39.95, and they are now offering a 10% discount on their entire site (oct10off). So, good value and the wait is short, even to Canada :)
