Howdy I am new here pleasure to meet you all, I'm having a issue with the kit I just bought it comes with the smok Helmet tank and I primed the coil and also put liquid into the coil sides
And both the coils I tried that it came with just produced a burnt taste and I went onto the live chat of where I bought it and they said it was because I was running it at 10 watts where it states it starts at 20 watts and apparently I burned the coil, now before I go out of my way and purchase more coils do you guys think this is the issue? And when I turned it up to 20 watts the tank got very hot and the vape was very warm and ofcourse still the burning taste

Right off the bat? No, I think that is wrong. It's kinda the opposite of what happened. Higher power (higher wattage) or a dry coil are the ways you burn a coil. So starting at 10W rather than 20W was the right way to start off.

When you say you primed the coil, how did you do that? And did you let it sit for several minutes after filling the tank to be sure the coil was well "soaked"? I ask only to find out if you might not have gotten the coil properly prepared for your vape.

Hey There!, Thanks for replying I took the coil out and screwed it onto the driptip then i got the eliquid and dropped liquid through the holes and was doing that on every side until it stopped taking it in, I then filled the tank and put it in and THEN i took 3-4 unpowered inhales and then tried to vape and thats where my issue happened, This happened on the 2 coils that was provided 0.6 ohm and 0.4 ohm Many Thanks Blue

Yup, next question is what kind of juice are you using? A high VG might not wick well with that particular coil, although I would think a 0.4 ohm coil should wick high VG well as that's most likely what will be used with it for subohm vaping.
Im only using a 50/50 VG/PG juice, and nobody else seems to be complaining of this issue?

I have just looked inside the coil and it looks nice and clean and nothing looks darkened? will it still be burnt but not look it?

I wouldn't rely on appearance alone. If it tastes burnt, something isn't right as that's not an enjoyable taste. I would clean it, prime a new coil, and as opticruby already posted, let it sit in a full tank for 10 minutes, and see what happens.
