I own a smok Stick V8 that I take with me on the go, I use the 0.25 M2 coils in it which say "made for 3.7V direct output". Anyway, earlier I accidently screwed the BBB tank on my Stick V8 onto a Hohmslice which I've been trying to run in Kanthal Temp Control using a different BBB coil. For some strange reason, the 0.25 M2 coil ran phenomenally in Kantal Temp control with what seemed like fairly consistent and accurate temperature and great vapor production. My mod said I was pushing 3.4 Volts to get my 420* vape with a 50 watt ramp up and I wasn't noticing any burnt taste or other issues. So, my question is, can I just use these coils in my Hohm Slice or are there potential dangers to using a coil meant for an unregulated mod? I suppose I will at least need to make sure I don't go over 3.7 Volts? Also, I've seen a few retailers say it intended for 35 watts but I don't seem to have any issues with it hitting at 45 or 50 watts in TC mode. Is this okay?

Are you sure you are running kanthal in temp control? AFAIK, temp cannot be read with kanthal wire. I am not familiar with the Hohmslice, but wonder if it automatically goes into power mode if a kanthal coil is used....but IDK for sure.

I recently picked up the Stick V8 myself as well as having another Big Baby and a couple Baby Beasts. As good as the vape is on the V8 with the M2 coils, I am fine just running that tank with M2 coils exclusively on the Stick which my vape shop recommended. If for some reason I want to put that Big Baby on one of my regulated mods, I would just swap out the M2 for a T8, then back to the M2 when going back to the stick. Why take the chance of burning out the M2 or shortening its life?

Thanks, I've had one loaded up for a couple days and it seems to be working alright. The HohmSlice is supposed to be able to run Kanthal in temp control but it is finicky. For some reason it seems to like these coils. It also likes the standard 0.2 ohm coils but I was going through enough juice to bankrupt me. I ordered a pack of the 0.4 Q2 coils, I'm thinking they might be the best option as HohmTech suggests a 0.5 coil for TC. Anyway, thanks everyone I really appreciate it.
