Smok m80 plus ohm readings??

first suggestion would be don't use that mod for temp control - it doesn't work right... great for wattage mode, not so much for TC... i have one and love it, but there is LOTS of info about TC being a bust on the m80 plus...
not sure why ohms would be jumping unless connection is loose somewhere - base, coil maybe?

Not using it on Tc. Using it on wattage mode. Coil is in tight. Everything is correct.
gotcha - if you are using in wattage mode, need to get that ni200 coil out of there - that is a TC coil
What's the reason for why I can't use the ni200 coil on wattage mode? It has amazing flavour and vapor production.. I'm new to this so sorry if I sound dumb and what's a good tc battery? I wanna upgrade to 120w plus
short answer would be ni200 coils are specifically made for temp control mode - should be a number of threads on the forum about it... honestly, everything I have learned says ni200 = temp control coil, so I will have to wait for folks that know more about it to weigh in... likely has something to do with the fast ramp up, non-resistance properties of ni200 wire...
good tc mods? I like the Sigelei 150w TC box and the Smok X Cube II, personally, but I am sure others will weigh in with their prefs as well... I have that same tank, currently using it with a .25 ohm (kanthal) DVC coil and love it...

Yeah I'll just wait and see. Thanks for the quick input though. I like the looks of the x cube II, but I don't like how you have to take the batteries out to charge them. Is there any dual 18650 mods that charge via micro USB ?
typically, onboard charging is a sub optimal solution - better to have an external charger for batteries... any charging board they squeeze into a box mod is going to be sub par compared to safety and redundancy circuitry in an external charger - at least at this point in the game...
Alright. Say I ran the x cube II at 90 watts, how much battery life would I get, roughly, if going through 5-10 ml a day
I just switched it to temp mode and it was saying that, posted to show ohms. Running it at 600f
depending on the batteries (i use sony vtc4's in mine, samsung 25r are also very good and higher mah rating - sonys have higher cdr rating) probably swap em once a day with 10-15 ml usage (maybe once every day and a half?) - again, will depend completely on the batteries you are using...
Using the nickel coils with a non tc setting could fry your circuitry. Not saying it will but it does happen and is possible. I have also read almost everywhere you look even in instruction manuals that nickel and titanium coils are strictly for tc use
Nickel could can be nasty in power mode at certain temperatures when the Nickel oxydizes.
I've been using Ni200 coils on the M80 without a problem.
When I install the tank cold it shows 0.25ohms, after a few vapes when the coil has heated up it changes to 0.31ohms.
On the evic-VT in TC mode it stays on 0.23ohms.
You would soon be able to tell if the temp was so hot it turned Ni coils to a health hazard.
