So I got my Magneto like couple weeks ago and am running

dual coil
.33 ohms
2/3 wraps
28 gauge with silica wick

My battery is the Mnke high drain 20amp limit 18650

So the problem is that my magneto isnt firing up to par. it is barely igniting and my battery just got offf charge
Also it was getting extra hot esp button

I only use mnke 18650s

Please help

i know i get what i paid for but damn

let me know if its dunzo so i can start looking for another mod.

Also any suggestion on mechanical mod around $100 or clones

preferably a mod that conducts heat very well (contacts etc)
Links appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone

Like most mechs the magneto will likely benefit from from some sanding to all of the contact points. Where there is poor contact there is voltage drop. Where there is voltage drop, there is heat because no electrical path is 100% efficient. Couple this with the very high amps you're pulling at .33 ohms and you've got a dangerous situation.
Sand down the contacts and raise the resistance, IMO.

I was doing some research because i found the same and it seems if you have the adjustable top pin which is 2 parts connected by a small spring, there can be a problem. Sometimes my magneto wont fire and i believe its because the spring inside the top contact/510contact isnt making a good enough connection. 1 guy suggested replacing the spring with a thick copper wire which i will be trying as soon as i can get some.

If your looking for best bang for buck the chi you clone and nemesis clones are hitters for how cheap they are.
