smok had a long standing reputation for extremely poor build quality. I heard it has recently gotten better, but either way “buy a new
device“ is generally the answer. the offering I looked at did not advertise a liquid tight PCB so I suspect they don’t have one. This makes water damage a high possibility. Unless you’re into micro soldering and have things like an air blower soldering gun and microscope “just buy a new one” is likely the simplest cheapest solution
