SMOK pyrex vivi nova leaking from the bottom

I am relatively new to vaping and even newer to pyrex clearomizers and this is a first for me. What should I be checking? I am guessing that it is probably leaking through the coil/wick based on the location of the leak (?).

Are u using flanged cartos? Make sure its locked in and sitting flush

This is not a carto tank but a bottom coil.

Also, I took one of mine apart for cleaning today and a small metal ring came off of something in my sink. Does anyone know what this is and where it goes? I don't think it's a gasket.
