Smoktech Pyrex Vivi Nova

Hello Pyrex and vivi nova lovers,

I recently started vaping, and my first vivi nova (Vision / Mini) was perfect for me, so i was happy to see those new pyrex vivi nova from smoktech.

Everything is perfect about this vivi, airflow, taste, pyrex, style... but there's one BIG problem.

It leaks from the bottom cap, even if it seems to be well protected by the seal.

So i looked everywhere, and there's not a lot of people who are talking about it.
Some people speaks about leaking problems, but not in details, and the great majority of people seems to be happy with it, even after a week of use.
For me, it started leaking a few hours after the first fill.

I found a post on this forum where someone advise to check the seals and the end caps if they're in the right place, which i did.
And a few hours later, the same problem. I even tried with the cylinder upside down (with the smok logo near the tip) and thought i found the solution... it lasted just one night, the morning after, my bottom cap was leaking...

So... I'm asking the people who got this product : is it a bad product? do I have to contact my reseller? or is there a reason why my pyrex vivi is leaking from that bottom cap.

because I really love my vivi, even more with the pyrex glass, and I would be happy to buy a few more, but only if I'm sure it was just a one time mistake...

by the way, I only vaped halo tribeca on this one, maybe I should try with more eliquid?

Thanks in advance for your input.

A quick update :
My pyrex vivi isn't leaking anymore !

Seems I had a problem with the orings, and in a desperate attempt, after a lot of tries, i just took a little oring from some useless stardust style drip tip and stretched it to fit the base. This made the original oring a little more tight, and no more leaking since 3 days.

Hope this will help if someone got the same problem someday.

That's great Gamlus :) I've been using mine for a couple of weeks now and I've really wanted to love them. However, all three of mine are doing the same thing - they constantly leak from the sides of the bottom cap. I've tightened them as much as I can but they keep leaking. I'll have to look through my stuff to see if I can find different orings to try. Thanks for the tip!

Ho ! Bad news ... :/
Seems they had a batch of those fitted with the wrong size of orings, because not a lot of people seems to have this problem. (the version of this post on the french global e-cig forum had the same lack of "success")
I hope you'll find those kind of orings, just the size of a drip tip, but it has to have some elasticity to double his size.
My vivi never had a single leak since i fixed it, but this need some precaution when you unscrew the cap, the bigger oring will surely "jump" from your hands.
Actually, I'm waiting to be totally sure there'll be no further problems, and i'll try to order some bigger orings from www.oring.fr to clean this emergency repair. I'm sure you can easily find an equivalent of this website in the US...

My husband and I bought one each about a month ago from Madvapes. Ours leak into the battery all the time and nothing we do or have tried has helped. We just deal with it. Also, I noticed when the coils go bad, we get a nasty chemically taste to it. We ordered several replacement coils, 2 were duds on arrival, we seem to have to replace coils once a week.

Occasional leaks on my battery occurred a lot... before I made my own coils.
For what i can remember, the wick on the pre-made coils when you buy them are a little bit small and the juice tend to spill a little. With 2mm silica wicks, no more problems. (maybe one drop once in a while, but that's not really a problem)

In case you didn't, don't fill your vivi above the wick, with this one it's worse than in the Vision vivi nova.

So, my advice : do your own coil, it's cheaper and it's really easy once you know what you are doing (i.e. watch some tuto video, there's a lot on youtube)

Update about my original post : bought some cheap orings from a local store yesterday (i was there so...), now my pyrex vivi is fixed and looks less homemade :D

ho and chemical taste can be just that your coils are dirty. maybe your eliquid is really thick, do some dry burn once in a while, it helps.

in addition to what i said : i always change my coils when they are new, they're really tight and this doesn't help them to breath enough, and the juice tend to stuck on them easier because of that
