Hi mate I'm using a aspire nautilus tank and coil that came supplied with it. Same brand and name on it. Sorry mate I'm new to this so unsure of technical stuff
Cool has ohm sign on it with 1.5 stamped on. The same ohms sign on my display screen reads 1.68
If I'm not mistaken, the resistance (ohm) of Aspire Nautilus coils are supposed to be 1.8 ohm, with an acceptable variation of 0.2 ohm + or - .

Is your battery device (mod) a Coolfire?

If your battery device is reading the coil's resistance different than that, then the coil has a short in it, or the battery device's processor is screwed up. I advice changing the coil after properly priming it.

So the atomiser has 1.5 Ohms on it. The screen reads 1.6. I manually changed it in settings to 1.5 but it changes itself back to 1.6 after a few puffs ??
You can't change the resistance (ohms) of the coil with your battery device. You can only change the voltage or wattage output.

The only way you can change the ohms is to replace the coil with a coil of a different ohm. It's normal for premade coils to vary by 0.2 ohm plus or minus. Coil resistance will gradually increase slightly as the coil is used (e-liquid gunking up the coil). Different battery devices may vary slightly in their accuracy/precision to read a coil's resistance.

The authentic aspire nautilus bvc replacement heads are only available in 1.6Ω & 1.8Ω.
The nautilus X replacement heads are available in 1.5Ω & 1.8Ω.

Are you using a standard mini or full size nautilus or the newer nautilus X ?
What power level /settings are you using?

The R40 does have an adjustable initial resistance feature (+/- .05) in TC / TCR modes, SS, Ni, Ti.
The nautilus replacement heads should only be used in watt/power mode.
