Introduction:
The smok Scar-Mini IP67 is a version inspired by the gritty graphics of the SCAR-18, it also incorporates the factor form of the Alien 85 that was so successful in the past years.

The kit includes the 22mm TFV9 Mini tank, which is lighter and smaller than the previous TFV9 tank.

Scar Mini Kit first impressions:

I had high expectations about this kit, in the past I loved the Alien 85 and the Pico 75, so it is easy to understand how I am particularly fond of this type of design.

The first (pleasant) surprise was the small and manageable size of the Scar Mini, I was afraid that the IP67 coating had made it rather bulky, but this did not happen, congratulations Smok.

I had previously tested the Scar-18 Dual Battery Mod, so I figured the Scar-Mini for the same tactile pleasure had kept the same construction materials, all confirmed ... Once again good Smok!

The gritty design of great aesthetic impact is therefore derived from the Scar-18 and the factor form is nostalgically reminiscent of the Alien 85, the kit weighs only 140gr and is (as on the Scar-18) meticulously designed to be portable and easy to use.

Scar Mini Kit exploded view:

The frame construction precisely wraps the soft leather inserts, the top / bottom edges are protruding to offer an optimal grip.
Leather, metal and rubber complement each other, undoubtedly a new fashion with a perfect assembly of the elements.

On the first of the two sides you can see two finely burnished French screws which hold the protective metal structure and the wording "Smok" impressed on it.

The other side is marked with the wording "Scar-mini" and two other French screws to support the armor.

The 0.69-inch monochrome OLED screen is housed in a dark plastic frame that also contains the Fire button and the rocker of the Up / down adjustment keys.

On the back the curves of the frame, the leather insert and the soft rubber are shaped to adhere perfectly to the palm of the hand, these expertly mixed materials give a truly exceptional tactile feedback.

The cup is fixed to the body with three torx screws, it can accommodate atomizers with a maximum diameter of 24mm, the pin is floating, the thread for the battery cap has a robust o'ring at the base to protect against infiltration of liquids or dust , the positive pole is marked on the bottom inside the compartment / battery.

On the bottom of the Mod we find the Usb socket which is protected from any infiltration of liquid or dust with a rubber cap.

The Tfv9 mini 22mm basically consists of six pieces:
The Tip is type 510 equipped with two sealing rings, the Top-cap is childproof, the slide-to-fill lifting system prevents unintentional opening and guarantees simple and safe filling, the membrane seal prevents any loss.

The base has an AFC adjustable by means of two opposing slots (12x3mm) equipped with a 2mm wide crosspiece which simplifies the partialization.
According to Smok's technicians, the air, thanks to the lowered position of these air-flows, hits the coil far below, increasing the aromatic restitution.

The contact pin of the TFV9 Mini is plated / gold, always on the bottom we find the disposal logo, the C E mark, the words "designed by Smok and" 22mm "to remember the diameter of this atomizer.

Another 3ml capacity pyrex glass is supplied in the kit as a spare.

The TFV9 Mini supports the new 0.15Ω Mesh-coil V9 with 40-90W range made in Nichrome.
This atomizer is fully compatible with the whole range of coils for TFV8 Baby / Big Baby.

Scar-Mini screen:
The 0.69-inch screen is arranged vertically, bright enough (indoors), the same thing cannot be said in open environments.
The display shows; the power indication, the resistance value, the Volts, the percentage of residual charge, the maximum number of puffs and the duration of the last puff.

Operation notifications that may appear on the screen during use are as follows:
- BATTERY LOW :: the battery voltage is less than 3.3V ± 0.1V.
- POWER OFF: the battery voltage is less than 3.1V ± 0.1V.
- OHMS TOO LOW: atomizer resistance is less than 0.10Ω ± 5%
- OHMS TOO HIGH: the atomizer resistance is more than 2.50Ω ± 5%
- NO ATOMIZER: atomizer not detected.
- ATOMIZER SHORT: a short circuit has been detected
- TIME OVER: the duration of the puff is more than eight seconds.
- PCBA TOO HOT: The PCBA temperature is too high and the high temperature protection is started

Usage:
- Five clicks on the Fire button to turn the device on / off.
- Press the Up or Down buttons to adjust the power level between 1W and 80W.
- Simultaneously press the Fire / Down keys to clear Puff's number.
- Press the Up / Down buttons at the same time to lock the power adjustment.
- Three clicks on the fire button to lock / unlock the Mod.

Final Conclusions:
The Scar-Mini IP67 is a mod with attractive aesthetics, small, light, robust and well built, according to Smok it is able to withstand diving between 15cm and a meter of water for 30 minutes!

The chipset is spartan (it delivers only in VW mode) but allows a practically instant delivery with only 0.001s of delay and it is very easy to use.

The TFV9 Mini Tank is a restyling of the TFV8 of the "Baby" series of which it maintains its advantages, but improves the refilling system with a simple but effective Top-Cap lock and an effective replaceable anti-leakage membrane.

The new 0.15Ω Mesh Coil V9 (range 40-90W) is compatible with the old TFV8 Baby (all coils) and this is good news for all Smok fans. I find it very valid and flexible in use, very high performance and reactive already at 40W.
During the test that I mainly carried out between 40 and 60W I never felt the need to push myself higher with watts, the performance of this atom in flavor amazed me. I wondered if this effectiveness is due to the reduction of the tip (510) or to the dimensional and technical modification of the AFC.

If you are a Vaper who does not care about TC and are looking for a sturdy mod, because you are adventurous or because you do outdoor work, this Kit is recommended because it is suitable for you.
