Smok tech Dual Coil Cartomizers: Throat Hit Question

I recently purchased a few of the Dual Coil cartomizers and have been vaping on one for about an hour now. They have an amazing throat hit initially and after about 5 puffs or so (spaced out not back to back) the throat hit tapers severely to almost zero. I would like to know if i am doing something wrong for this to happen. I would like to point out that I am new to cartomizers in general but did enough research to fill them properly.

if your taking those puffs to close together (like 3 seconds apart) then it probably hasnt had time to wick...is it ok after you let it rest for like 30 seconds? I found on mine that 100pg just does not work well with them, also i found if i pull a little harder than the normal really mellow drags they perform better all around. The best thing is to fill it, top it off, then let it sit for about an hour IMO, after that just vape away and top off as needed. I normally wait about 10-15 secs between draws as well. Let me know! they can be picky but once you get them down they are amazing

he's using an ego battery. i found that they do not work too well with the DC carts. i have a few roughstacks at 3.7v that work much better

Some PVs just can't pass the current needed for DC.

1.6 ohm DC at true 3.7v produces good TH w/ proper eliquid.

DC at at 4.2v produces excellent TH w/ many eliquids.

An inline voltmeter will let you know if PV is supplying enough current.

Agree, these guys really need voltage to produce TH. I have to run mine at ~4.2-4.5v for a satisfying vape. The 2.0ohm ones need 4.7v (or maybe more, 4.7v is my max on the Ego Booster).

They will work but the stock ego batteries only do 3.2-3.4v output. If you are looking for a cheap way to enjoy the dual coils, you might want to look into the 5v 510 passthrough works well with it, though its a bit too hot for me on the 1.5ohm dual cartos but nice on the 2.0ohm ones. A step up in money, 3 mode ego batts or the Echo 4.2v batts they also sell. For more money I can recommend the Ego Booster very highly.

So I don't have to worry about destroying my batts or wasting my money. The batts are ok and the dual coils work. I should notice a difference from the 2 ohm boges. If I've got that right then I'm giving them a shot.

I have a couple eGo T 1000mAh batteries as well. They do work, but I didn't get a very satisfying vape off of them; the draw was loose and little to no TH.

They Worked like a dream on my 1000mAh Ego T Batteries with awesome TH the 1.5 ohm worked even better on my new 5v passthrough. I've been vaping on the boge 3 ohm on my 5v and 2 ohm on my ego and so far i kinda enjoy the Smoketech dual coils a bit more.

I picked up mine from Hoosier e-cig supply They have 2.0ohm,1.5ohm and i BELIEVE they are the only ones that carry 1.25ohm at the moment and I have tried the 1.5 and 1.25 with the 1.25 being my favorite on an ego 1000mAh Battery.

I first started vaping DC's on a boge revolution V2.1, The first few days it was plenty of vape. After that the cartos became weak. The boge puts out 4.1 volts. just isnt quite enough for me. I saved the weak cartos and used them on my brand new roughstack maxi at 6 volts and the cartos were better than the first day I used them...A fresh carto at 6 volts..FORGET ABOUT IT....HEAVEN!!!

I recently bought a Mega eGo 900 kit. I was told that it was 3.7v and 4.something off the charger. Now I'm reading that most egos are 3.2-3.4. Anyone know for sure about the Mega eGo 900? It seems to work fine with some DCCs that I already had, but I tried a Smok Tech DCC I just bought and that one wouldn't vape at all.
