It's just the size of the coil in the tank. Huge coils so not a lot of room for cooling. I always start very low, half the wattage it says and build up in 5 watt increments until I am close then in smaller increases. Never had any issue doing it this way

I've used my cloud beast without extreme heat at 80watts,, warm & attenuated flavor though.

Sorry, those get hot. It's a lot of power in a small tank and it gets hot. Only thing you can do is lower the power, but it might not put out any vapor.
I am using a Smok 50-260W. It said best at 120-180w. It has 4 little holes that I primed. All these different coils confuse me! I do not do rebuilds. Would love to know what they are all referred to example: RDA......? I'm only using mine at 50 or 60w.

A little bit of heat is OK, its normal for most tanks and RDA's running at higher wattages, especially if you're chain vaping. If something's getting too hot you will know.
All coils on Cloudbeast are Kanthal.
To ID coil, should be etched on side. What device are you using it on. People would need more info to help you.

Could you have slipped into TC mode?.
It's possible that your coil, especially if you were chain vaping, became clogged with gunk from the e-liquid. Can you show us pictures of your set up and a picture of the coil outside of the tank? Also, what type of e-liquid were you using?
I have a T8 coil of now soaking in hot water and will shake it a few times and keep the water hot. It's amazing how much crap you will get out then after a full drying it works great

No it said I am in Watt mode. My device is a Sigelei Fuchai 273.
I had no idea you could clean these coils. I am only on my 3rd day using this tank. And I don't chain vape. Thanks for the tip.
I spray it out with the dish hose a few times too. It looks almost new after doing this. I've found you can clean them twice before the cotton is just done

Do what @Falco78 suggested. Let dry 24 hrs.

I have a baby & bigger baby. I don't have little (4) priming holes. Just squirt along base of deck where cotton is visible. Load at the edge of the top when swiveled out.
That your atty went south overnite is vexing.
Could have lost your vacuum? You would see juice though..

I put mine out in the open where there is good air movement for 72 hours just to make 100% sure it is fully dry. I'm probably over doing it though

New coil: suggest start at low watts and move up in increments to where you are getting good taste and moderate cloud. The wattage to produce the above combination is your personal wattage setting (unique to you only). Might want to let us know if you can achieve this.
