Hello im new to the whole forum thing but i wanted to throw this around the new e-cig smokers and some e-cig master if you will lol. Ok Im going to try and cut this down short and sweet but I live in Illinois just to throw that out there but im trying to get my head around all this, ok a smoke cessation product is those approved but the FDA as a way to quite smoking period correct? i understand that some of e-cig companies try and maket their product that way without FDA approval correct? so that illegal right? but in my possibly hundreds of sited ive been roaming threw over a few weeks ive yet to see one company marketing to "children or as a smoke cessation product" so could someone explain how or why all the legal BS was brought up it seem pretty simple traditional cigarettes WILL KILL YOU and are ok to sell E-cigs MAY OR MAY NOT KILL YOU NO ONES SURE BUT WE ALL REALLY KNOW THE REAL ANSWER but because we don't know they cant be sold? does that not make sense to anyone else. bottom line shouldn't the product that might kill you be ok over the one the WILL no doubt kill you, idk i just what to hear some other peoples thoughts about the matter i know its kinda not in the right spot but i can only post here and thought that new people should get a handle on whats going on with these and look up what there state is doing about it

You're preaching to the choir here. I would rather take my chances with vaping than smoking. Nobody knows yet the long term effects of vaping. I guess we're all test cases. Anyway, for now it's a choice. If the government get's involved I'd be willing to bet most of us vapers will revert back to tobacco. As much as I don't want to I know I would.

it really comes down to semantics...
we as users say they got me off regular cigarettes...we post that in customer reviews etc...
so the FDA sees this as how users are using them off label and against intended use...at the begining of this fight several e-cig companies also advertised it as a quit smoking device...

so it comes down to if it's a quit smoking device it's an NRT and classified as a drug delivery device and would have to be pulled from the market and go through long expensive testing to prove it's safety and effectiveness...

it it's a recreational alternative to tobacco...where no health claims are made...then it gets to stay on the market...
