Hi all! New to the forums. Smoked analogs for 30 pack years. Switched to ecigs one week ago. Much easier than I expected...

I notice this on every website I go to. "This is NOT a smoking cessation product."

I find it strange they all have that disclaimer, and yet when you look at all of the different "smoking cessation" products out there, the gums and patches and antidepressants... none of those work worth a darn. They should call them "try to cease smoking using this product, but be prepared to be miserable anyway... and prepare yourself for yet another major failure. Thanks for the $80.00, and have a nice day" devices.

But the one that isn't meant to be a cessation device? Works like a charm. Go figure.

I like your thinking. my understanding is they state this because of the FDA and the lack of test/studies done. with that being said, many people use ecigs as an alternative and are not trying to quit, some wean themselves down to litlle or zero nicotine, and i do know 2 people personally who have quit(but won't give away their ecig just in case lol) good luck with whichever path you lead yourself on. ecigs have change my life :)

This IS an amazing forum. Even better than the photoshop forum I frequent.

WishIknew-- The path is already taken. When my Ecig arrived last saturday, unbeknownst to me at the time, I had already smoked my last analog. And this is after MULTIPLE failures on everything else.

I can, for the first time in my life say I haven't even cheated. Not even one drag. Not even at bowling, after a pitcher of beer. Not even after better-than-average sex.

I gave my wife the two packs of Marlboro Lights that I still had the night I got my e-cig. She started on the e-cig yesterday with me. Now I'm going to have to test her resolve with the e-cig. But that's a whole other story.
