I had just visited my local tobacco shop that sells cigarettes, cigars, pipes, .... and all that!

So my friend let me try his E-cig just 2 days ago and I fell in love and really want one, a real cigarette just isn't the same, tastes nasy, I felt like the E-Cigarette tasted like such a clean smoke.

At my local shop they just started to sell a e-cigarette branded Smoke NV, with the packaging and all it looked all fancy and such. It comes with 5 cartiges but they are nictoine free since in Canada apparently it's illegal to sell nicotine cartidges. Well I was wondering if I were to purchase this e-cig which cost 60$ and is cheaper than the site itself :p could I just put drops in the nicotine free cartidges or what?! Could someone please explain the procedure or what I'd have to do.

I forgot what type it is but i'll look it up and add an edit. So thanks !

So the model type is KR-808D1, i was wondering if this is better than the 510 or worse and the pros and cons thanks :)

Hi cancoon. Welcome to the forum and the vaping experience!
You're likely to get several answers about which is better(kr8 or 510).
People on the forum seem to be very loyal to the PV that they use. I personally think my kr808 is awesome, but I have not tried a 510. Others may say the 510 is best, but have never tried a kr808.
From my experience(as limited as it is), either device would be a good choice for a starting e-cig.

I recommend you read this: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...st-electronic-cigarette-first-time-vaper.html
and all six parts of this: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ping-illustrated-guide-e-cigs-part-1-6-a.html

Also, check out the many vids on YouTube. Many of these were made by members of this forum.
Here's a good six part series: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-videos-newbies-particular-broke-newbies.html

Good luck in your future vaping endeavors!

510 and KR808D-1 are the two most popular and respected mini e-cigarettes. They are different since KR8 is the best 2-piece and 510 the best 3-piece mini.

Read this comparison
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...st-electronic-cigarette-first-time-vaper.html

There are adapters available to use a 510 atty and carts (or 510 cartos) on a KR8. And adapter to use KR8 cartos on a 510. I like the KR8 because in its standard size (about the same size as a standard 510) the KR8 has 280mah battery life and 510 has 180mah because more of KR8's length is battery (part of 510's length is its atomizer). And if you ever want a softer hit, a dse901 atty and carts (or drip tip if you have a manual battery) can screw right on a KR8 battery.

I prefer manual batteries on all of my PVs. I was a lights smoker and I often use a KR8 w/ a 901 atty on it. I like the cartos too but the hit is a bit strong for me since I am used to a softer hit. Nice hit on the cartos though.

The best way to get more bigger better out of either is to move to their fat battery models which can also make use of low resistance (LR) attys and cartos for a stronger hit (requires the power of the fat batteries).

BTW when you have 5 posts/replies then wait about an hour, you'll be able to post anywhere on the forum including the Canada subforum!
