Lets start with a little background.

I started with a Yeti 510. After about 2 weeks I was ready for something better. Topping off carts all the time was a pain, I was draining 1 battery before the other was charged. Tried different cart mods but they usually leaked all over.

Then came the Ego-T from Cignot. This was a great kit. I didn't have any of the issues that other people were having with them. The flavor was kinda muted on it compared to dripping on the 510 atty. But still a great system. I will definitely try the LR atty's when I get a chance.

Next on the list, 2.4-2.6 Ohm Fluxomizers on the Ego battery. Awesome flavor and vapor. These worked great except for the part if I lay it down on its side it kinda leaks all over.

On to the Volt. Wanted something I could take with me when I leave the house that I didn't have to worry about. Ordered the premium kit on Wed received it on Fri. Nice packaging, everything was there except for the second pack of cartomizers. This turns out to be a good thing. I ordered both in RY4 thinking it would be the same Dekang ry4 that I usually vape. Nope, This ry4 was pretty bleh. I suffered myself through a couple so I could reload with mine.

Ok on to customer service. Filled out a support ticket for the missing pack of carts and received a reply about an hour later. They apologized and said they would send them out right away with a little something extra. Extra is always good :)

Just wait, not done yet. Sat morning I plugged in the passthrough and I noticed it was a hotter vaper and a louder sizzle. Made the bleh ry4 taste even more bleh, sorta burned tasting. Tested it on the multimeter and it was reading 5v, batteries were reading around 3.9ish. Let me just add you have to be talented to test the new auto switches with just a volt meter and your mouth. Jumped on there website and noticed it said someone was online to chat. So I started chatting with Rob about the passthrough. He tested it with a volt meter also got the same results. But he still offered to send me another passthrough. I didn't think it would make a difference so I declined. He changed the ry4 cartomizers to blanks for me cause I didn't like them that much. Then he told me the grape was good and he was going to send me a pack.

Today in the mail I recieved TWO packs of blank cartos and one pack of grape. And I must say this grape is really really good. Tastes like real grapes, not Kool-aid. It tastes great on the 5v passthru too, it was just the ry4 that tasted bad.

I know this was supposed to be a Volt review but the Customer Service at Smokeless Image was so awesome I had to rave about it.

I am very happy so far with the Volt. The auto switches work very well. They only activate with suction and very little at that. The cartos produce good vapor. They hold a good amount of juice too. I was able to get two 3/4 full condoms into the blanks. Yes I know a condom isn't a unit of measurement but its all i have to go by :p. PCC works good, love the display on it. Wish it had more storage for carts though.

Bottom line, I would highly recommend the Volt for anyone looking for this type of system. And the customer service of Smokeless Image is outstanding also.

I'm curious as to what percentage PG/VG everyone is having success with on these cartos. I just got my kit today, also got grape and blanks. The grape is okay, but it might be my burnt taste buds from vaping Cinnabomb all day every day. So I loaded up the Cinnabomb and seem to be having a problem with it wicking down to the bottom. I regularly order 80pg/20vg. I have no problem with this mixture working in anything else (I'm not a regular carto user).

I have a precision oiler that I use for the Tank, so I put that down the sides, bringing it up like I've seen described with a syringe. I was thinking maybe I didn't load enough liquid. Do these take a period of soaking in like other cartos?

Here is something I thought of since posting last... The grape cartos I received that vape like a chimney have a hard insert on the mouthpiece and the blanks I ordered at the same time have the soft rubber insert. Are these even the same cartos? I'm about ready to rip one apart to find out.

EDIT: The answer is yes. Same insides as the pictures I've seen for the Maxx Fusion/Volt cartos.

Yup, I was talking to the rep on Saturday and he mentioned one of there shipments came in with the hardcaps even though they requested the soft ones. So the company they get the cartos from has both. He even offered to toss some softcaps in my shipment if i didn't like the hard ones. I really don't have a preference, they both come off pretty easily.

Okay, a little update on the problem I've been having. Last night I found a thread in the Bloog subforum referring to some liquid vendors not working as well as others. The main topic seemed to be thinning the liquid. Although everyone said use PGA or distilled water, I just had a little bit of SKYY vodka in the cupboard and thinned about 10 mil with 50 drops. Today I have not had to "flick" or shake the carto even once. When it's time to refill, I'm getting roughly 20-25 drops back in which I consider a dry carto. I'm probably somewhere between a moderate and heavy vaper and I just refilled for the 3rd time today. I seem to be going through roughly one carto per battery charge, give or take a little.

So if you are having a wicking issue, I would recommend thinning it down a little. Even using the regular vodka, I got really great vapor and was very happy with the performance today. The Cinnabomb seems to taste much, much better from this carto than from the A and B LR Tanks I've been using for a month or two now.

EDIT: The only thing I'd like to see now is a bigger battery/longer life so I don't have to change batteries every 3 hours or so.
