I was lucky enough to win this basic starter kit from a contest

Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Volt - Basic Starter Kit - Starter Kits

I received the kit quickly and it was ready to use out of the box. I opted for the silver battery and the watermelon pre filled carts. I am not a personal fan of the flavor of the carts, but they aren't unvapeable. It should be noted that I have yet to find a prefilled cartomizer I do like.

It is a basic kr808 2 piece setup. The battery life seems to be a bit longer than that of my other 808 batts. I got plumes of vapor when using with an LR 901 atty.

The basic kit includes:
1 battery
5 carts
1 charger

For the price this is a great way to introduce PVs to a beginner; that's exactly what I intend to do with it :D

Nice Lynlee. I'm just going to jump in your thread with my opinion of them too. (Hope that's OK. :))

I got the Pro Starter Kit. I have been using it all weekend.

I usually vape at around 5v, but have only tried one KR8 before, and wanted to see if there was something better. The other one that I tried had such a loose pull to it, that I couldn't comfortably use it, so I gave up and moved on.

I received the Volt PCC kit with the batteries at about 70% charge, so I slapped one battery in the PCC, hooked the PCC to my computer, and started vaping the other battery. It came with a 5-pack of tobacco cartos, which tasted like standard tobacco pre-fills to me.

The PCC is nice. The lid is a little "wobbly", but it seems sturdy enough. It has a simple button on the front that you push to go from showing the level of charge for the battery, to showing the charge of the PCC itself. The light on the battery being charged stays on while charging, and goes off when it's done. That's a nice feature because you can tell if it's done charging with just a glance.

The pull on the battery/carto combo is perfect for me. Because of how well the pull works, I got back into an old habit of holding it in my mouth while typing. It's nice to be able to puff while working (or socializing) without having to stop to take a puff. It did mimic a cigarette a little too much for my taste, since I've gone away to using mods, but this type of kit would be great for a first-time vaper, or anybody who likes this size of battery.

I had entered the contest in hopes of SHEENING so that I could give it a go, then PIFing it to a friend in need, but I think I'm going to be greedy and keep this for going out. The vapor production is nice, but much cooler in temperature than my 5v and VV mods. This kit, with a few ECF business cards, will be a great thing to convince smokers that there is a better alternative.

Anyway. Great KR8 kit. Sorry if this doesn't flow well, I'm doing about 10 things at the same time.

I am really glad that you guys liked your VOLT as much as I like mine. I think the battery life is longer than other kr808 models that I've used in the past. I just wanted to mention that it is the same model as the Bloog maxx fusion. I bought mine before the contest started but I did enter to win in their current contest.

They last a good amount of time - I ran 20mls through one, losing taste and vapor now so I'll probably toss it.

Hello, Beachpuff!

Before you toss it out, could you do me a favor and take the filler out and inspect it for any burn marks or any other signs of damage due to heat, like melting and such?

Thank you.

I will jump in if you dont mind... I got some of the blank carto's on Saturday. Used one exclusively all weekend and finally tossed it in to be cleaned yesterday afternoon. I vape 5 - 6 mils a day so that is quite a lot of topping off for one carto! No burnt taste at all, and you can tell when you are getting close to needing to top it off. I am very impressed with these! I have used carto's from 4 companies and these are the best ones so far!

Now, question on the batteries for you guys!.... What is the cut-off time on these? and have you cross used equipment? I have 2 pcc's (V2 and V4L) and wall/usb chargers for 808D-1 batteries.

Thanks!!

I cannot BELIEVE the customer service from this place. I got a Bloog today. I looooove it, but the CS was lacking. The shipping took forever, I never got a shipment email until i emailed and asked for one, and the price is much higher. Again, love the product though. Tried smokeless image and its 1130pm eastern time and while I was shopping, I talked to a customer service agent online. Amazing CS. And I'll get it FREE SHIPPING on monday. I'll let you know how i like it!

Well, I guess that I'll "piggy back" a review of this e-cig onto the others. I started vaping back in late September with an RN4081 (automatic). It was like trying to suck a hotdog through a straw! But it showed me the potential of the e-cig. In early October of last year, I joined ECF and ordered a 510 (battery life sucked) and then the eGo. I've been using manual eGos ever since. I wasn't going to make the mistake of getting another automatic again. Then I won a Volt kit in a contest. I thought "Cool! Something that I'll be able to PIF after I try it!" Wrong answer!

I got the kit that had one battery, plus the chargers, and 5 prefilled cartos (Grape). The grape flavor is nothing to write home about but it's not disgusting either like some other juices. But the "draw" isn't the flavor of cartos. It's the device itself with the carto. It came ready to vape. I put it together and took a draw and OMG! The draw was like taking a puff off of an analog! After having smoked for over 37 years, I resented have to relearn how to take drags to be able to use any of the devices that I have. Not with the Volt! No primer puffs or timing of pressing a button--just vape! Wow! The vapor production was similar to an analog. (IOW, exactly what I've been looking for.) The throat hit as well (although I suspect that part of that might be 100% PG juice.)

After trying carts, cartos, etc from several vendors, I've found the cartos from smokelessimage.com YESSS! I went to their website and was able to chat with someone immediately to discuss the cartos. I'm now looking for an adapter (510 to 808d1) to be able to use their cartos on my eGos. I've been using the same one since yesterday evening and just topped off a few minutes ago! No burnt taste, no filler taste, nothing!

I would definitely recommend both the Volt battery and the cartos to newbs looking to imitate the look and feel of an analog. And the prices at smokeless image are very reasonable!

I've been vaping the MaxFusion for about a month now and I've yet to wear out a carto. I've wrecked a couple from experimenting with it or just generally screwing around, but haven't worn one out. I clean them with cheap 80 proof vodka and a turkey baster and that works very well. I've learned that if they start tasting burnt it means the carto is running dry and it's time to top off with juice. On the battery the carto's produce lots of lovely vapor and on the pass-through I can pretty much fog up the whole room. They handle every juice I've tried so far very well although the thicker juices make the carto draw harder. No prob though, a long slow pull on the ecig does the trick. I haven't tried the carto's from Smokeless Image yet but I understand they're the same as the MaxFusion and as soon as I need new carts I'll sure give them a try.

Just wanna give my 2 cents on this fine pv. Got it today and I'm surprised at how good it performs. Used it exclusively to see how it would perform for me on a daily basis. I got the pro starter kit which included two batts, five cartos, usb charger, and the pcc.

Aside from my bad experience with a similar pv I had (I'm sure some are aware of what I'm talking about LOL). This actually performs very well. I get nice warm vapor and a good amount of it. The automatic button works good with the slightest of pulls. It's sleek, easy to use, and a good amount of flavor. It's satisfying enough to where I don't vape as often. Which is a good thing IMO. The batteries last me for roughly 3 hrs and I still haven't finished a carto yet. Probably because I filled 4 of them and alternating between flavors.

I did make a personal error with making the order. Didn't notice the option for free shipping for orders over 50 and clicked on priority mail instead. Which caused me to make a few emails back and forth (they replied extremely quick which I thought was great) And they actually compensated me for my own mistake. Gave me an extra pack of blank cartos that made my order well worth it. Extremely happy with that outcome.

This is just one example of how good the customer service is with this company. The shipping was FAST and only took a few days. It was packages really well but didn't have the boxes which I'm not really to concerned about if I'm getting a quality product. The volt isn't going to be replacing my other pvs such as my REO's or Ego-t type b. But it's nice to have a cig sized mini to take out with me that actually works as advertised.

VERY satisfied with this purchase and yes, it does live up to the hype I've been hearing so much about on this forum as well as from the reviewers on youtube.

I hopped on the Volt wagon thanks to you guys, and i'm glad i did.

Two years ago i put my foot in the water of electronic cigarettes and got a Blu, which was a grave disappointment so i only used it for a little over a month and went back to analogs. I've been coming back to ECF every so often since to see what's been going on, and came across your reviews for the Volt.

It's wonderful, it's exactly what i would want and expect of an electronic cigarette. TH is above average and VP is excellent i would say compared to analogs. It's been two weeks now and i haven't even considered switching back unlike the Blu where from the first couple days i was already debating, due to it's low performance.

Using Tasty Vapes liquid now, and i'm trying to figure a good place to buy extra cartos from. Any suggestions?

I'm gonna chime in here as well

A quick rundown on me:
Been vaping since June 2010, first PV - eGo with 100% PG pre-mix juice from the canadian supplier, wasn't too fond of 100% PG so I now DIY 50/50 VG/PG 18mg nic sometimes 25/75 PG/VG 12/9mg nic. Anyways tried the 510, didn't do it for me, tried standard cartos and CE2's (bad experince). so stuck with the eGo and dripping (w/510 LR's) then to XL attys reg filler and now tried the alumium filler (works awesome BTW), but was a juice hog.

With all the raves about the Bloog/Volt on ECF, I decided to try it out. I'm so glad I did!!!
I got the kit on July 29 and have been using the kit w/pcc for this long weekend and I am VERY satisfied with the results. I still carry around a bottle for refilling juice and have been using just 1 carto this whole weekend (just refilling when needed). I can tell when the battery is about to die, as well as the carto needing to be refilled. The draw is definately way better than my 510 autos and no need for the primer puff. The main difference from my last set-up:

eGo w/XL LR atty w/aluminum filler
Awesome Flavor
Satisfying TH
Loads of Vapor
Great battery life (just my set-up w/a 3ml bottle of juice for the day/night out)
Less time between refilling the juice.
but.....time to time there would be leaks, had to do a lot of spot checks.

Having the Volt:
Good flavor
Good TH
Good Vapor
PCC works great, but a bit flimsy (only time will tell if it hold up)
Great Auto battery
Great Carto (so quite)
As for cons on this model, I have none as reading all the info on K808D-1's and bloog/volt posts helped in filling and
upkeep. Only time will tell...

So as an fat batt/eGo user to a slim battery model, I am very pleased with the product as well as the CS (ordered 1 black, 1 yellow, 1 blue and 1 silver battery, but got 2 blue batteries, asked for a return/exchange ticket and Toni is sending a black battery for free...WOW, AWESOME).

Just my 2 cents.

I'm actually not gonna even try to use cartos from anyone else-the Volt cartos get too many great reviews, and I have yet to kill one after over a month after lots of refilling and cleaning them several times. Yea, I've found some cheaper ones but if they don't last as long or perform as well, that is not a savings. I ordered a bunch extra last week just to have spares to try new flavors.

I haven't loved any of the prefill flavors either, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Volt hardware!
