I was a die hard smoker...I have stood in the rain, below zero weather and heat that would suck the breath out of me all in the name of a cigarette. I joined a church 5 years ago when my first grandaughter was born because I believe every child should have some christian teachings...and I still smoked, the things I went through just to get the smell off of me and my clothes, my car was unreal. I have wanted to quit for so long but I am so weak and so I thought it would never happen. Two weeks ago I was visiting my son and we went outside to have a smoke and he pulled out this strange black thing and I asked him what it was and he said a E-cig, I have only heard of them once but dismissed it because I did not want to waste the price of a carton of cigarettes LOL. My son said he had cut his smoking down to only a few a day versus a pack or more and so my interest was peaked...he said he had just ordered a much stronger E-cig and so I asked if I could try his BLU and so when his new one came he gave me his BLU and I have not smoked a real ciagrette since...this was just one week ago but I am through with real cigarettes and my son also bought me a RIVA so for me this is a miracle. I have been lurking here all week and I want to thank everyone for all the info.

Hi boxerdoglover,
Welcome to ECF and glad to hear you stop with the real cigs. You will find a lot of info here and please look around (even though you might not be able to post in other areas until you reach 5 posts) There is info in the Library here and ask any and all questions.

Just want to say I too love Boxer's. I have 2 and they are GRAET lil people.

Consider me your recycling center for Njoy Pro, Smoking Everywhere Gold, Cloud 9, Smoke 51 Trio, and DSE103 useless batteries.
Other hardware if it’s still usable.
Those I loan out to/give to thank you.

Thank you all for all your kind words and encouragement. Stubear, I agree that boxers are the greatest dogs, I lost my last one this past march, very unexpected. I am looking around for another boxer but it not as easy as I thought it would be. Just a funny note, I was at my mother's for lunch and headed outside to vape and mom said why go outside, I can't smell anything bad so I was able to stay inside her house...I still felt a little wierd LOL.

I ran into the same "I don't want to spend the cost of a carton of cigs" dilemma as you did. Thats how insidious tobacco is and as I struggle with my own cigarette addiction, I can completely sympathize with other drug addicts out there. My drug of choice may be tobacco but I am as much a drug addict as the guy who is sticking a needle in his arm or needs a drink to get through the day.
