Hi,
I just bought this today :- http://www.ecigarettedirect.co.uk/ultra-tank.html Late Christmas pressie for myself.
Normal price about £50, New year sale price about £40, Collect in person £30 which is what I did.
This is my first step up from the cigarette lookalike. So far I am impressed with the build quality and look of the kit. I have not tried it yet as the battery is still on its first (4hr) charge.
Has anyone else tried this kit and if so what is your view of it? Is there anything I need to look out for?

I haven't tried that paarticular one Phil, as I mainly use mods of some description - but your
batteries will have come very likely, with a factory charge of some sort, so you'll be fine to
use one, whilst the other charges. They don't have memories either, incase you're wondering
about that.

The one thing I would be careful of, is screwing the clearomisers down too tight/firmly onto
the battery, if you do, then you'll maybe depress the central connector pin. This isn't an issue if you
do as they can be lifted back up quite easily, but it's something to be aware of.

I should think you'll notice quite a difference in your vape with this! Enjoy. :vapor:

Hi,
What a letdown. Charged the 1000mah battery for 5hrs and NOTHING . It's as if the battery has never had a charge of any sort.
There was no charge in the battery to start with and it still seems the same. I am charging the second one now and if that does the same I will check the output from the charger and usb wall adapter. Any other suggestions?

Phil, have you tried turning the battery on? it will need either 3 or 5 clicks of the button to turn it on & the same to turn it off.

Also, you need to hold the button down while inhaling.

Hi Chrissie,
Yes it did need to be switched on, 5 clicks.
I emailed the company about midnight last night and when I turned on my PC at 9-05 this morning the answer was there for me.
It seems that if I had ordered online there would have been a slip of paper enclosed explaining this but as I collected in person this was forgotten.
All working OK now but I am surprised at the amount of juice I am using, 2 refills so far today where a refilled cartomiser would last me all day. It looks as if I will have to use the two systems just to make it affordable. Quality ,quantity and cost equation to be worked out.

Hi,
Chrissie, I don't buy my liquid from the smokers angel, just the hardware when there is a decent special offer.
DBW, I haven't yet mixed from scratch but I do buy the highest nic (2.4) menthol and then dilute it 4 to 1 with glycerine so that it gives me .6. I then add food flavouring so that I can taste it. I also mix up zero nic using stuff that I can buy in any supermarket.

Had a look at the description of the clearo and it looks simular to a CE4.
Capacity is listed as 1.6ml, where as cigalikes are roughly 0.5ml I beleive.

By refilling do you mean a complete fill or just a top up? If you were doing 3 cartos in a cigalike a day then you shouldn't be going though much more than 1 - 1.5 full fills. I could be you are hitting it more sub consciously (I do with any new toy).

The best part of that set up is it looks to be ego threaded which opens the door for you to try different clearos and carto tanks without any real worries about compatibility. I would recommend trying a low resistant dual coil tank. They are reasonably cheap and vape nicely on ego batteries.

Hi Veyf,
Yes it is a Ce4 clearomiser and the system is 510 threaded.
Yes the first day I started with a full clearo and by mid afternoon it was down to the bottom line on the guage so I filled it to the top. By about 10 that night it was nearly empty again.
You are probably right that it is the new toy syndrome and will probably settle down as I get used to it.
