I was in the market for another KR808 and after hearing pretty much nothing but good things about this company,as well as having a great black friday/holiday promotion I decided to go with them.

Before I go any further let me state that I have no association with this company other than being a customer and I paid full price for my kit.

First off, the shipping. I ordered on Wednesday and had it today. That's fantastic especially considering the holiday. The package arrived in a sturdy mailing box with stuffing so the kit wasn't being jostled around inside.

I opened it up, plugged the battery in and then went back to bed (I'm a day sleeper lol).

When I woke up I screwed on the carto, took a puff and almost choked. The "easy drag" they promote is no lie, the vapor went straight to the back of my throat like a cig does. I ordered my kit with the 16mg regular flavor (it actually does taste like a cig). I've been using the same carto for several hours now and vapor production/throat hit is the same as when I screwed it on.

One thing I'm struck by is how solid the battery is, it's very "dense" and deceptively heavy. I'd say it's heavier than a 510 battery. It's not a deal breaker, it's not unpleasant or awkward to use, it's just heavier than I'm used to with an e-cig this size.

I just put the battery on to charge after about 3 hours of continuous use so the battery life is good for my needs.

My previous experience with a KR808 was with a mega battery and it didn't seem to provide half the punch this does. I don't know if it's Smoketip's cartos or what but I'm finding them pretty impressive.

I'm not going to lie, Smoketip is more expensive than other 808s out there. As someone who has burnt through several batteries, at this point I shop more based on warranty and customer service than price. Yea I could save money up front but if I have to replace batteries out of pocket I'm really not saving much in the long run. Smoketip offers a lifetime guarantee on their batteries, no questions asked. And according to several posters on ECF it truly is no questions asked and they do honor their warranty. Hopefully I won't have to use it but it's awesome that it's there.

Overall I'm very pleased, it's not often that I'm excited about a product but I'm very, very happy with this.

If anyone is interested, here are the coupons that solidified my decision to go with Smoketip-

I started with the Smoketip, using low menthol. It felt like the kit showed up overnight it came so fast! I have purchased other KR, manual and auto XL's and none of them seem to last as long as my Smoketips. I can also personally vouch for their customer service. I ordered more carts and they messed up on one of the boxes (sent 6mg instead of 12mg). I emailed them and they said keep the mistake and they would send me the correct one's at no charge. Got them in record time. Amazing customer service!!

I agree and offer much kudos to SmokeTip. I have saved huge amounts of money after switching to them from analogs. Their customer service is like a dream come true. I have replaced 2 batteries and they did it without question. I have bought the Portable charger and USB passthrough which is an amazing device. The Carts last me about a day and half each and I haven't regreted for a moment choosing them. I have also gotten a friend and my brother and sister-in-law to order, they recieved their kits over a week ago and they too have not had an analog since. I myself havent had an analog (Nor the desire for one) for over 3 months now. I chose SmokeTip after 2 weeks of reading reviews and researching overall prices. THey have proven to be the most economical in the long run as well as the most customer friendly. Love my SmokeTip and cannot praise them (OR thank them) enough for freeing me of the Tobacco Monkey.

I took advantage of the "buy 1 get 1" deal on starter kits and was stoked when I got them so fast(bought them the Friday after TG and got them Monday - Eastcoast to Cali). At first I bought V2's, but got a "Awaiting Fulfillment" message after purchase so I knew I was in for a wait.

They are the perfect starter kit because it couldn't be any easier to start, with 2 pretty good auto batteries that come with a lifetime warranty. I've been reading the differences between Kranger and Boge cartos, and from my understanding, the cartos Smoketip come with Kranger ones because they're are tad bit bigger. I bought some V4L ones(Boge) are smaller in comparison. I'm still a premie on this stuff so I'm still comparing the two cartos, but I've been reading that Boge ones are much better.

After using the Smoketips and V2cigs, I feel more comfortable taking the smoketips out and about since the smoketips give me more of a natural feel. Two batteries help me throughout the work day and I use the manual V2s at home/night. Also I wanna bang the crap out of these so I can actually use my lifetime warranty.

Eventually, I wanna get an ego with a drip tip so I can experiment with flavors/mg/vg-pg mixes. It seems harder to experiment with cartomizers only.

I could have written that verbatim. I'm surprised that ST doesn't get more shout outs on this forum. I have had to use their warranty a few times, but always get a first rate response and absolutely no resistance. Batteries are devices that can malfunction, and none will last forever. So, paying a few extra bucks up front is well worth it since it really means I won't have to buy any more bats unless I want to. Also, their prefilled cartos taste great even if they cost a bit more as well. I could be wrong, but it appears to me that ST's branded batteries are higher quality than some other less expensive models. Of course, I haven't tried everything under the sun yet, but ST's batteries seem to have more 'power' than some other KR808d1s i've used from other companies. The TH is good and it's an easy draw. The kits come w/white bats that have orange/red LEDs but I've ordered two other bats a la carte....one black, one chrome, both with cool blue LEDs. Their kits come in high quality gift appropriate boxes and are very securely packaged. You can easily use the box for storage. I also think their hardware (chargers, etc) are better than some less expensive ones I've gotten elsewhere.

I've mentioned in another thread how several friends have followed me and gotten on the ST bandwagon. Without exception, they all love it.

unfortunately they seem to get lumped in with the grossly over priced mall brands and everything because they're a "name brand" and thusly considered a rip off for some reason.

in the scheme of things they're really not much more expensive when you consider that their shipping is totally free. maybe you could find a passthrough for $12 somewhere else but add $6 shipping on top of that and a warranty that's half of what smoketip offers and you'll realize what a good deal smoketip is. their cartos for $20 are actually a good deal. add in the shipping costs at somewhere like v4l and you end up paying more than smoketip's cartos.

my biggest selling point for them was the lifetime warranty. i don't care how much i'd save upfront somewhere else, the second i have to replace a battery out of pocket those initial savings disappear.

good call on the chargers. smoketip came with a nice screw in charger, the other 808 kit i bought elsewhere came with a cheapie push in one that worked terribly. i like that they brand their ac adapters too so that i know what goes with what.

Well stated review xg4bx! SmokeTip was my very first ecig and got me off analogs in one day. I still use them a most of the time, and I have a lot of other brands here. I've found their batteries to be consistent, and I love that! I never have to "mark the one with the good draw". Great product and and fantastic service!
@Crumpet... funny you would mention the box they come in. I still use mine for all my cartos and other vape related items.

I never hesitate to recommend SmokeTip to anyone. Glad you made a thread xg :)

I agree with everyone! I got in on the 2 for 1 deal, this is my 1st ecig and it has worked without flaw. It sure got here quick. It seems to be quality - very well made. I have the regular juice that they sent in the kits and I like that too. I have ordered other vendors e juices to start refilling and, when these juices finally arrive I will try this mod too: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-nf-carto-mod-kr8-atty-510-vertical-atty.html. If the mod works like people are saying it does then I may have everything I could ask for in an ecig.

Darn, wish you had posted this a couple months ago =) I seriously considered SmokeTip before deciding on an Easy - the Easy won because of price and the manual option.

I'm curious about the SmokeTip cartos - are they the same as what you'd normally see with an 808 carto? Can you refill them?

I started out with SmokeTip too and still have a pack of menthol cartos. I don't care much for the taste of them, but these are what led me to ECF and getting my 510 and then a Riva. You can get an adapter to use the SmokeTip cartos on your 501 or Riva or Ego etc. And YES! You CAN refill them! The cartos have a hard cap that pops off with a paper clip and then there's a clear one under that you have to take off too. You can even replace them with a drip tip and us it that way. I chain vape and have been using one of those cartos for a good month!

they're actually pretty easy to refill. you won't get as much use as you would with a new blank carto but it's nice that you can refill them.

i just got one of these bad boys today-

PigCig by LeCig - PigCig Personal Vaporizer Mega Batteries

it's excellent. if you're jealous of hearing people brag about their eGo, well here's the 808 equivalent. between that and my smoketip the 808 is the only model i'll ever need.

Thanks for this site! I'm going to give my SmokeTip kit to a friend and hopefully, she'll stick with it and then want the PigCig.

What's not working with them? Are they leaking? I just tip it a bit, put some drops in and turn it til it soaks it all up and just keep doing it like that. There's a video somewhere where they took out the batting inside of it and left the middle straw with the "sock" on it. Mine came out really easy! Anyhoo, it's kind of like dripping, you can fill it and vape like crazy, wish I could find it for you. It's perfect at home on the passthrough. If I find that thread and video, I'll post it here. I think Dogs Body is the one that modded it.
