I'll make it quick.

Both parents were lifetime smokers and both died of lung cancer in their 50s. I started smoking after school with "the cool kids" at age 14. I smoked 2 1/2 packs a day for 20+ years. Tried everything to quit blah, blah, blah...

I had resigned myself to the fact that smoking would take my life and there was nothing I could do about it. I woke up every morning reaching for the pack of cigarettes that I had grown to hate and spend my days either smoking or thinking about the next smoke. Smoking was more than a habit, it was part of my personality, it was my identity.

Heard about the e-cig, checked online, did some research, ordered a 510 kit. I didn't really expect much, I was just hoping to use the e-cig to smoke in places where I wasn't allowed to smoke.

The 510 showed up in my mailbox, I ripped open the package, put the thing together, and took my first drag. I swear, as the vapor hit my throat, I almost cried. I exhaled the vapor, relaxed and knew my life had changed forever.

I haven't smoked a cigarette since that moment. It's been 8 days now and already, I can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke. I can breathe again, my energy level is up, I feel good. I can make plans for the future instead of constantly thinking I'll be dead before I reach 45. I can say without a doubt that vaping saved my life.

I know that there are many of you out there that have had similar experiences but just know that this 1 mans life has changed. I am a different person than I was 2 weeks ago, I am a new man and its important. I am not trying to be dramatic but this is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Yes, I have a wife and now its possible that I won't have to die on her at age 40-50. Yes I have children, maybe I can walk my daughter down the aisle. Maybe I can be there as my son starts his own family. So many maybes, so many possibilities, so many..... everything. This is everything to me.

Thank you to everybody that reads this, thank you so much. I don't know who to thank for this wonderful gift, so I thank this community. Thank you.

Glad you changed your life for the better as we all have through e-cigs. Know though, that there are people who would deny us our better health
by outlawing e-cigs. Please ferret out the petitions here on the forum and add your name to the list so we don't lose the ability to lawfully use our e-cigs and be healthier than we have in years. :D

A HUGE Congratulations to you and your success. That was one great story and so very similar to my own. 36+ years of 2 packs a day and I quit instantly when I took my first vape, and I remember sitting back in my chair with a BIG smile on my face amazed at just how much I liked my first e-cig.

Here's to you and me and everyone else on a much longer and healthier future!

Vape on!

Ain't it GREAT! I never thought I'd quit either, before the hearse carried me away. I don't have dependents, but I now have hope that I can live to fulfill some dreams otherwise not likely.

I'm with you 100%!

2-21/2 a day for me. Well over 40 years worth. I tried my first e-cig Jan 2nd, and haven't looked back. I tried a cig. a few days after the e-cigs arrived and I was shocked to find that I liked the e-cig better. It's kinda like coffee. some tobacco's smell fantastic. Just like some coffee's do. But they never taste like they smell. That's where a E-Cig really shines.!!! They taste much better than they smell. And many of the flavors smell +WooHoo!!! :2cool:

I developed COPD a few years ago, and still I couldn't quit. I tried and tried. All I ever got was "CRANKY!" Even the symptoms of the COPD are going away. Something the DR. said would never happen. It is slow going for me. I really didn't think I had many years left at at all.

I have a lot of great customers. I was really depressed that I was going to have to quit Knife Making as a way of life very soon. I just couldn't take the smoke and fumes of the job. Even with the mask, it was hard. But as I said. It is getting better and better. It was almost too late for me.

How I wish I had found these E-cigs sooner in my life. And now certain factions in our government wants to take them away form us!

Some one once told me that the goody two shoes were going to one day goody us to death. Looks like it may very well be true.

Great story. Mine is very similar to your only I smoked 3 packs a day for 40 years. I already had COPD. Been vaping now almost 17 months. I no longer cough. My COPD has improved 100%. I am no longer short of breath. Thank God for ecigs.

You can't ask for much better success than that!

Here's to a healthier future!

Thanks, to all of you. I'm on day 11 without an analog! I love my 510, I'll never go back to those nastyass Salems again!

Congrats!

I'm two months in (Or so). No tobacco. It's a miracle. I know how you feel.

I was climbing stairs over the last two days thinking... "This is very easy". A strange thought, I never had trouble climbing stairs... but it was a lot easier. Food tastes better, I no longer snore, and my libido went back 20 years.

Feels weird walking into a gas station and not buying smokes. I just pay at the pump and go. Very very strange change.

Tried one analog a few weeks in... made me sick.

Life is good. Go get laid. Eat some food. Celebrate. But don't ever ever forget to charge that battery!
