My first post on this forum was because my new Smoktech Fury-S was having a problem - the switch was heating up (hot! not warm!)...

Since then, I've bought a copper Nemesis clone, learned a bit more about building, got better batteries... overall it's been a fantastic experience, love my Nemesis and Mutation-X.

However, it is bugging the heck out of me that I have a mod just sitting on my shelf, it's wasted money. I decided to test it out again, and as before, the vapor production is horrible, and the button heats up despite the same build and battery working perfectly on my two other mech mods. (current build is 0.33 ohms, using either VTC4 or Subohmcell INR).

So - here's my dilemma:
- The switch can't be disassembled, this much I have established. So I can't dig into the switch and figure out if it's dirty or something.
- Shop I bought it from won't take it back because they claim it's "normal" for the switch to warm up on that mod.
- ... but I can't try to sell it, because that would be really unethical. I mean, I know something's wrong with it, I can't just pawn the problem off on someone else and possibly have them get injured.

So I'm going to try this again: does anyone have experience with the Fury-S? Experienced a similar problem and fixed it somehow? I've taken it to 3 B&Ms - none of them have been able to resolve the problem. I hate to just give up on it... but it's feeling like I'm going to have to chalk it up as a loss.

Anyone? :)

Did they inform you prior to purchasing the device that it is normal for it to heat up? I don't think any device on the market is normal to heat up... Perhaps you should let the B&M know that there are plenty of other places to buy vaping supplies and items from out there and if they really value you as a customer, at least credit you towards something else....

I purchased a Fury-S a couple months ago, worked great for about a month. Ended up with the same issue. My advice would be to try and sell the parts to recoup some of the cost. As long as the top cap and tubes are in decent condition, you never know who needs parts! I was able to sell my 18350 and 650 tubes and top cap. Ended up only losing out on $15.
