Hey all i just received a smoktech magneto and i seem to be having extreme misfire issues. I am using the same efest imr 1830s i used in my vamo. it seems as if the flat top battery is too short. i can here it moving inside when the magneto is collapsed to its smallest. The thing is this did not seem to be the case earlier. it was working fine then out of nowhere it stopped working. I know it sounds crazy but it misfires less when i hold it upside down or pressed really hard. Could i have crushed my battery or something and now it wont fit? when i get home i will stack the 18350s just to see if it fires every time. i was about to order a set of aw imr button tops but it just seems like a waste of money if my battery can work.

I've had mine for a couple weeks and am having the same issue. Would be nice if someone with more modding experience than I would find a cure for it.

EDIT: "may" have found a cure. If you unscrew the switch assembly and look at the bottom magnet assembly under the battery, simply grab it by the ring around the magnet and undo it by 1/4 to a 1/2 turn. Make sure the entire thing (not just the ring) moves. Also gives you access to the spring if you remove it BTW. Might be a good time to replace the spring with something better?

Since doing this, no problems....but we'll see.

I use a Vapesafe fuse with my Efest 18350s because just like you, it won't make full contact otherwise. You could try doing what Daniel suggested, and you could also try unscrewing the 510 piece a little bit more to try screwing the telescoping tube further down.

I have no firing problems in my Magneto whatsoever when I use my AW IMR 18350 button tops.

It did work for me, still no problems since adjusting the contact point for the switch. All my batteries are button top, so no rattles or battery fit issues.

Sent from my phone with an identity crisis.

the magneto with the "adjustable pin" has a spring in the pin assembly on the top, you need to take apart the pin with a pair of pliers, i found it easier to put it in then pull out the bottom connector , then unscrew the pin. my spring was burnt a bit and it was collapsed, next i put in a thick copper wire inside the spring and re assembled it. you will need to adjust the size of the wire to make sure when you connect your rba or rda that they sit flush again, after i did this the magneto hits hard like it did the first time, hope this helps
