Hello all,
Does the Smoktech Omnitester replace a multimeter for use on an unregulated mechanical mod (no kick or kick2)?

I know it will measure the resistance of the coil.
I know it will measure the voltage output of the battery.
I know it will measure the voltage drop when coil and battery are both connected and the unit is fired.

If it reads a resistance of the coil then the coil does not have a short?
If it reads the voltage output on the battery, then the battery or the mod do not have shorts?

I'm trying to figure out if I need a multimeter as well before I begin my foray into unregulated mods.

TIA

Thanks Baditude, so if there is a short, the Omnitester should give a funky reading? I'll YouTube after I get off the road!

Most meters will give a funky reading if there is a short. Jumping from one number reading to another without settling on one. Or reading "0.0" ohms which is a dead short.
