[h=3]SMOKtech Plastic 18650 510 BOLT Rubberized Paint - ALL COLORS[/h][h=3]$19.95[/h]Introducing the one piece SMOKtech platic BOLT 18650 mod with chrome plated vented battery cap at the bottom - 510 connection.

Injection molded plastic for durability with rubberized paint. It does have a nice soft rubberized feel. Very nice feel in the hand, lightweight.

A protected battery can work on this mod but installation takes a bit more effort than a slightly shorter unprotected IMR battery.

We carry all six colors: black, white, pink, purple, red & yellow.

  • You will receive one SMOKtech Plastic 18650 Bolt.
  • Slightly raised 510 connection.
  • Horn style power button
  • Vent hole in chrome-plated battery cover at base (see picture at left)
  • 4 inches high by 15/16th of an inch wide.
  • Weighs 1.2 ounces without battery.
  • Battery or charger not included.
  • Warrantied for 14 days against manufacturer defect in the switch. Your warranty would begin after you receive the unit.

Yay!!!!! COLORS!!!!!!!! Briar, yoooo hoooooo Briar! They come in YELLOW!!!!

Yes-yes-yes-yes-yes!!! I'm going to get both purple and yellow - I use IMRs pretty much exclusively, so it's cool. Plus, it looks to me like there is a tiny gap between the two halfs, don't know if that's on purpose or not, but it sure makes for good venting! :D

If you plan on using a Kick with these... use either the IMR 18490 or 18500 batteries since they don't have extentions ( at least not yet )

The kick probably won't work with a plastic bodied mod. From their site:

GROUND SPRING
You will notice a small spring attached to the top (side edge) of the Kick. This has been carefully designed and is an ESSENTIAL component of the Kick for proper functioning. The spring MUST make contact with the grounded inner wall of the battery tube. If this spring does not make contact, the Kick will not function. A few devices have anodised or powder coat finishes on the inside of the battery compartment - this can interfere with the ground connection. These coatings must be removed at the point of contact with the ground spring. (This does not apply to the Super-T Precise and Precise+ range).
NOTE: DEVICE TUBES VARY - The internal diameter is wider on some and narrower on others. Please do not use the Kick in tube mods with an internal diameter greater than 19.5mm.

Ooh ooh, now you have me interested. I love my metal Bolt.

But, can you clarify this statement: A protected battery can work on this mod but installation takes a bit more effort than a slightly shorter unprotected IMR battery.

Digging my battery out now...OK, it says 'UltraFire BRC 18650 3000mAh'.....and the small print 're/discharging protection control.' Oh oh. Battery body is 2 and 9/16 inches long, plus the little bump on the end.

So, what kind of heroic efforts will I have to go through to make it fit?

I really wouldn't recommend trying the protected...I was able to insert some smoktech protecteds I have here but its a hard push down and then you have to hold it in tight to get a thread going. I an sure this will wear the threading down after a bit and if you have any sort of arthritis or weakness in your hands its going to be more than rough.

Thanks Danno. And yes, I do have arthritis in one of my hands, so not gonna work.

I assume the 18650's you have will fit?

Oops, just saw that they're out of stock.

Sheesh, I went to all that trouble of searching and pasting links; should have just waited 8 minutes. LOL.

OK, I'm assuming they fit. One yellow bolt and battery sold to the lady in the navy shirt. Always a pleasure guys.
