As far as the purple Bolt...

Certain purples can be problematic to capture with certain camera's... I believe it is caused by infrared filtering but that is only a guess...

The following is an example... the first pic is what the camera actually took and the second is where I corrected the color to what the flower's actual color...

I can't say the differences seen in my pics will represent what the Bolt actually has, but they provide a good example of how much of a difference could happen with certain cameras

looks navy blue to me :D .... or @least a crayola BLUE
I LOVE Blue things but for some reason I think I need a WHITE one

hey morgan WHICH protected BATT do you have ??

Sorry kelley - first grand baby arrived this weekend, so things been kinda hectic. Just beginning to catch up with the forum here.

It's a red UltraFire BRC 18650 3000mAh. It's a tiny bit longer than the blue smok 2200mAh I got fron GotVapes, but no problems having it fit.

hope this helps!

Got one in red... Love it. It feels nice... solid enough but light, the plastic body is comfortable and softish against the skin.

By the way, was concerned about batteries, but my 17670 from ultra fire fits just fine!

I like that the 510 connection sits right up high, not recessed like my Prodigy V3, that was causing some tanks to not work on it.

The button isn't too clicky or loud for my taste but those that are crazy for tactile feedback should like it enough.

I paired It with a smoktech titan 6 ml tank. I find the draw on the tank a bit too airy but can live with it and my husband loves it. The tank is amazing... my juice tastes great, it is easy to fill, screws in nice and solid and doesn't spin around

Hubby says I finally found something he's interested in trying, and my daughter says she wants one. I haven't been pestering them but have been hoping to convert them and this incredibly priced mod may just be the thing that does it! Finally, a very affordable and solid product... I can see myself playing around with tube and tank color combos.

Good job you guys!

Then there is that... I'm blaming the headache I've had since early this morning... :D
When there is a will, there is a way. you can just get a silver conductive pen and draw a trace from the negative terminal of the battery. Silver is one of the best conductors so itll totally work, especially if u dont make it dainty and thin. Anyways, Im gonna try it, let u know what happens

Ok, unfortunately I have changed my opinion on the product. I now think they are only good as a better-than-throw-away option for someone trying to quit.

I had what I believed was a switch issue with the first one I bought and was about to return it when my second one broke. A friend tried to be helpful and take a look at it and the whole blasted thing disintegrated. I found out (fortunately before I had to pay return trip postage to have them looked at) that the first one had been dropped, and that is most likely what broke it and caused the connector to get ....-eyed.

Not necessarily poor or shoddy design, but you do get what you pay for. I have dropped my Prodigy V3 a bunch of times over the past two years and it's still ticking. Easy enough to say "well they aren't designed to be dropped", but round objects are likely to roll and falls are likely to happen. I have to consider normal "life happens" kind of stuff like that when I'm deciding whether a product is useful to me or not.

Also, although I originally said the 17670 fits fine, I wouldn't recommend it. Seeing how fragile the plastic construction really is, I think the stress of anything other than an 18650 contributes greatly to the breakdown of the connector, as mine got wobbly not but a day after I wrote the review... the subsequent drop probably did it in because it was under too much pressure.

So, yes, I think they're a very affordable option, but probably don't have the stamina for long-term use by a vaping enthusiast. That said, they are still my #1 suggestion for the "I want a mod to help me quit smoking" newbie. If they stick with it and decide they want to switch to vaping (instead of just stop smoking) then I would recommend a beefier mod like the metal Bolt which I am now the proud, and happy, owner of two.

Btw, while the initial product I went to gotvapes.com for was a bust for me, I am still a very contented customer as their customer service was top-notch, shipping was quick and prices are among the best I've seen.

Thanks for your feedback. ANY mod is goign to be iffy on survival if you drop it. This runs 19.95, or 18.95 after the auto VIP which most of our shoppers take advantage of. Most of the time if this is dropped in a normal situation (a roll off the desk onto carpet or floor but, maybe not cement) it will probably hold up fairly well. It is plastic yes, but that has its positives: plastic can actually absorb shock better than a more rigid construction AND, $19.95! lol...anyway thanks for your thoughtful post and appreciate your comments at the end.

Mari, so sorry to hear about your Bolt. My yellow one is still doing fine, is in my hand right now in fact. I bought it to keep at home, so it doesn't get too much wear and tear, but I have knocked it on the floor quite a few times - our floors are either laminates or carpeted - and it has survived without a scratch.

For me, the plastic Bolt is just about perfect. I wanted a mod for the longer battery life, but I do have arthritic hands. I also have (and like) a metal Bolt, but can't hold it for too long 'cos of the weight. I can hold the plastic one with a 3000mAh battery and a full Vivi Nova for a long time comfortably, even in my ridiculously weak right hand. It feels even better in my hand than my ego Twists in fact - I think the soft feel and larger diameter make up for the slightly more weight.

When this one dies, I will give it a good send off, and immediately order another one from GotVapes. I mean, it is only $20 - even this well known cheapskate has no problem with that.

Again, I am so sorry about your experience, but I still highly recommend the plastic Bolt.
