Anybody else tried these yet? I got a new tank from my local B&M last night, and found out today that this is what I have. VERY quiet tank, sounds more like a clearo than a DCT. Have had no issue with my HR predrilled smoktech cartos, but I've only been using it for a few hours. Just curious what others are thinking so far. Glad that no longer will I have to use pliers to remove the tank because it just slides around on the carto instead of unscrewing :)

They work really well actually. Only downside is you can not get any airflow on a Provari with them. Other PV's may have the same issue.

Thats what I was thinking. I really like the idea and the look but some tanks get restrictive air flow as it is just by screwing it onto your battery and with the additional cap to cover the carto seems like no air whatsoever would be able to get in there. However if you use it on something skinny like a ego then maybe the airflow will be better... I dont know but I sure would like to keep hearing reviews on this locking tank.

That's kinda odd. I've been using it with my VAMO and it gets air great. Not sure why the VAMO would be different. Perhaps because it has a "ring" around the inner threads for the ego threaded devices instead of just a flat top?

I love the UDCT, definitely one of my favorite tanks. I've got close to 20 total, half of them the full size 6ml tanks, the other half the slim version. The only issue I have with them is the length, I wish they sold a shorter version that took standard length cartos.

The UDCT works great on most PVs, I know for a fact it works on the Vamo, Zmax, Smoktech Bolt. eVic, etc. The Provari's center post is completely flush with the outside ring, which does not have air slots on it, so that's why the UDCT doesn't get airflow with it.

A normal short 510-510 adapter will allow it to work though.

Yeah, I think my next purchase will be some boges. I've had no real issues with the prepunched smoktechs, but started out with boges and haven't tried them since I started using tanks. I normally get my cartos from CCV as they usually have pretty good deals, but I don't believe they have the boges. I'll have to look around :)

I'm looking at the U-DCT tanks from SMOK too...I don't use flanged cartomizers though..and mostly I use Boge 2ohm single coil and punch them myself. Possible problem: Boge regular cartomizers (non-flanged, non-punched) are a shave wider in diameter than Smoktech or the Boge F16s tank cartomizers. I'm worried that the Boge and Ikenvape cartomizers I have won't fit right. I have a couple of the Smoktech chrome capped polypropylene (frosted looking) tanks and the caps are SERIOUSLY tight on the Boge cartos. So tight I can barely get them in ...if I can get them in at all. Now, with the U-DCT ones...don't know how it'd work. I know the locking thing will be useless on a non flanged cartomizer. But REALLY wish I knew more about them and if they are more accommodating with other cartos besides just the SMOK ones.

Ironically, although the Boge F16 tank cartos are noticeably narrower in diameter (most of my SS drip tips won't fit in them) the Boge F16 tanks will take pretty much any carto I throw at them..including the non-tank Boge that are wider. I might have to turn the tube upside down so the grooved end that's supposed to be on the battery end is on top...but they fit. Strange.

ecigbestsave.com carries Boge prepunched cartos. I bought a few of those F16 tanks from them along with a box of the cartos. I LOVE that f-16 tank!

Yeah...I've been liking the Boge F16 too. Have a few of them, and they perform great and look good. I went ahead and sprang for the Smoktech U-DCT tank today. I emailed MVS and asked about the Boge cartos in them and Michelle assured me that they would fit. I decided I just had to try it out. Should be here Monday. Possibly even Saturday with some luck. They sure shipped it out fast! I ordered it and about a hour later I had the tracking number! lol!

Congrats, I really think you'll like this tank. It's not as simple to use, as you can't just pop off your drip tip and fill it, but then again, that's the point right? :) I love how quiet the tank is though. I really didn't need the locking ring, but I do like how it fits onto the slotted bottom part, making it easier to remove. But the quietness is definitely what will bring me back to this tank.

Got my Smoktech U-DCT tank tank today! It's purdy! And so far I'm liking how it vapes quite a bit. I don't need the locking thing because I use regular XL cartos and punch them myself...but I like it anyway. Figure they'll be a bit harder to clean since they don't come apart, but that shouldn't present too much of a problem. I have a Smoktech 2.5ohm in it right now that I punched. But I did try the Boge 2ohm I have..that I'd "home punched" and it does fit. Yay!

Question: How can you tell with the tank is actually full? Since the metal extends down quite a bit...you can't see when the juice is nearly at the top. I used a SYM like tool to fill...that was fine, but I couldn't tell if I got it all the way full or not. Any tips for that?

I am using two of the Locking DCT. The slim, and 5ml. Have had zero issues with both. The tank does not move or slide up or down the cartomizer obviously as the lock ring prevents this. No leaking issues either.

Fourthrok:

With the lock ring and drip tip removed, pull the carto down until the top of it releases and can wiggle around more freely in the tank. Push the bottom of the carto (threaded part) to the side so that the top of the carto (inside the tank)is touching the sidewall. With the carto riding the sidewall, push it back up into the tank as far as it will go. Notice that the top of the carto is hitting the bottom of the metal top cap on the inside of the tank? With the carto pushed aside, just fill it as you usually would, once the juice gets to the point where it's hard to see from the side, look down the top and keep filling untill it reaches the top of the carto. At this point, the tank will be full. If you continue to fill, juice will flow over into and flood the carto.

I got a small UDCT a couple weeks ago and it's really rad when it worked. Pain in the ... to fill up at first but once I got the hang of it I had no complaints whatsoever. Fast forward to this morning and as I'm screwing on the tank onto my ego the actual polypropylene part slides off the metal locking pieces. It's pretty much unusable now, it leaks and air gets drawn up through the plastic and the metal when i try to take a hit off of it. Kinna sucks cuz I've barely been using it since I have a bunch of Kanger T3s that I use primarily. Not really sure if I should try my luck with another UDCT or just buy something a little sturdier. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
