That would be great! I already got my hands on one of the extended end caps (cause I sent the spring flying, never to be seen again when trying to adjust it), but I think you'll find that people are going to be asking for them. It works well for both a single 18650 or two 18350 batts. There's not as much pressure exerted by the spring to cause damage, but enough so that it functions well.

Great review by Phil. It would appear that Smoktech offers these with and without the extra end caps?
Phil states his V2 came with both end caps. Like Yiddles(when I buy mine)I will want both endcaps.
Naturally, this leaves me in a quandary

I was in a quandary to sit still long nuff for the 39:04 minutes to watch that so I musta missed that part

I did make it to the part where he showed 2 boxes and said you can't tell which version is which til you open them

I believe that was towards the beginning

I have it set on 8th menu to "ANS" since you can readout "RMS" on a standard digit display...

Got mine same place where Phil got his but when they first came out from same vendor they were 119.00 plus a 20% discount.
Not anymore .
It arrived to me November 1st and since no problems.


The extra end cap does not come with it , perhaps with Phils for the review.
Phil made me laugh at the 10:30 sec mark when he said Zmax does not warn you when battery gets low as it shows

Lou in other words Lo=Low and u =v=voltage .
The display shows what should be a "v" as a "u"
It does the same thing when set it up to show remaining battery voltage such as 3.5 will show on the the display as 3.5u
Seems the display cannot make an actual



Here you can clearly see that U is V.
Anywhere voltage is seen its designated with a U

Wait till you see the Zmax clone with the newer OLED display in words and the words move on the display kinda like the stock markets ticker display. Also featuring the new RMS .

Now this really sucks cause if I remember right you cant use 2 18350's with the standard end cap only 18650. Now I have a pv coming that I cant use cause the batts I have 18350's will not work with out the other end cap that now is not in the deal. GREAT! I sell my v1 zmax cause I had plans to get a different mod, my vmax take a dive off my counter and breaks. See GV has a good deal on the V2 Z and say what the hell why not Im stuck using the crap c-twist I had as a backup. Now this gets here on monday and now I cant use it. Awesome just Awesome.

My version 1 did not come with two caps either. I had to purchase the extender cap seperately. From what I've seen the places that do offer the two caps are charging at least 10 bucks more also.

Strange as my V1 did, was right in the box next to the standard cap. They need to change the details as it does not take 2 18350's with out the extra cap and is miss leading to others that think they can just though in 2 18350's and will be in the same boat i am. A pv that is going to do nothing but sit in the box till I can either find some place to buy a cap cause they dont sell it, If they had it listed it would have been in my cart with the order, or buy 18650's from some where which I really dont need cause I have nothing else that takes a 18650.

•The Zmax can take a single 18650 battery (we recommend flat or button top IMR batts not Protected as protected won't fit, not all 18650 batts will fit so we are not responsible for that). You can also use 2 18350 batteries

The bold part is wrong.

They dont sell the cap to use them batt's and the cap needed to do so does not come with it.

Yeah I did read the whole thread. Still does no good right now. I have a PV coming that I cant use cause the cap I need is not in the box and not sold on the site. The place I bought my V1 from had both caps and the price was no more then any other place was selling them when they came out so dont know how some places had both cap's and others only had one. Didnt know that that the V1's were sold with only one cap but that dont matter here.

O well, my crap B&M that is in my little ... town in closed on sunday so I wont even know if they sell 18650's till monday which I very much doubt cause they are some small place that sells knock off ego starter kits made for them and crap ejuice. If they dont Im stuck with a paper weight till I can get what I need to fix the problem. Just been a crap week toped off by my one VV pv breaking and now finding out I cant use the $120 mod I just bought.

Personally i use the 18650 batteries dont like stacking batteries.
Efest Imr's 2000mah's can be had for 14.00 a pair .
I like useing the newer Xtar SP2 charger that has a 500A,1000A and 2000A user selective charge rate and better than my Trustfire charger for these larger mah batteries .

I bought the Zmax esewhere as I thought GV wouldn't be selling them, came here for batteries and still bought the wrong ones. Hope they fit my ego mod. I should have asked first but I saw the Zmax in the background of the batteries I bought. (Whicj is how I realized Gv was selling the Zmax. I would have preferred to buy it here.

It's all good. Well sucks cause I didnt know it didnt have the extra cap. Guess the place I got my V1 put in the extra cap in at no charge and as to why I thought the way they have it worded on GV that "it can also use 2 18350" the other cap was in there. I would have chucked a 18650 in my cart( rather have the cap and I dont mind having to buy it either) but o well. I have 8 fully charged 18350"s waiting to go in a new pv to get here Monday but at last they will have to wait as will I. When it rains it pours. The sun better show up soon

I would think the v1 caps would also fit the v2... it's worth a try at least
